Although I'm currently residing in a small city, I grew up in 'the deep heart of the California redwoods' which was some individuals way of nicely stating the abyss. The town I lived during my early youth consisted of less then 300 in the woods over a few miles. There were areas of larger population surrounding, but transportation anywhere was damn near impossible without a vehicle. Although I never minded as a little child, as I continued on through life I was over time filled with a discontent and urge for a surrounding that held the capability for more interaction and it came to consume me like wildfire. Needless to say, I was actually overjoyed when my mother kicked me out as at 15. As much as I was irated by it staying there, I now look back with some sense of appreciation and feel a part of my personal development is owed to being raised in the environment I was. Social interaction was somewhat limited, but I was raised being able to run through the woods, play in the dirt, gain the knowledge of several hands-on trades from living on a farm, develop self-reliance and the start to my individuality, was forced to figure how to creatively bring things of desire into reality due to coming from a poor, rural family background...and most important to me now, had numerous hours to cultivate my thoughts along with interests such as art, music, and reading. I possess no desire to return to being there or a similar setting residentially, but reminiscing I know now that my time wasn't wasted.

I'm not stranded either, i can do what i wish, but as far as liking where i am i don't, but i don't wanna travel till i have a travel partner

I wouldna sae i'm teh only punk, but in all reality i wouldn't fit in that well in an all punk place either

Where i'm at everyone wears northface, listens to shitty r&b and rap, and those who don't most likely are methheads or tac gack, as i like to call it (Tacoma Gackheads)
So yeah, kind of not my type o' place

I grew up on a farm in Minden Iowa (population 400). Terrible fucking place to live! I love nature and being out in the middle of nowhere from time to time, but actually *living* there was hell. Luckily I moved back to the city with my sister.
