well this sucks

i don't mind the holidays too much, its just the "family(i use this term lightly) i hate,
any one else with this problem?
what i hate most is the fact that the seem to careyet only show up once, the cocky attitude and the snide remarks they make, they act as if there better than every one,fuck how i'd love to not be here.

so share some thoughts and experiences.

Well, I guess I'm pretty lucky then, I live in ND, Moms side is in Oregon, dads side is in Kansas, we don't get together for holidays much. My cousin is the one who gave me my precious hawk. ^.^

i share this sentiment a bit.

I only get to see my fathers side of the family which is mostly all around here. My mother and brother both live in Florida and my mothers side of the family is all deceased now.

My father and his side of the family are largely country hillbillies that think they have some vast understanding when they talk of politics etc. They recite all the latest NBC and CNN news and think that is it, end of story, cold hard fact. They get more progressively drunk as the day goes on and I, the lone radical of the family sits ignored on the couch feeling awkward.
