mohawk help!

okay so ive had my mohawk for 3 years now since an inch tall and now its 9 inches.. its getting harder and harder to put up..currently im using got2b and aquanet hairspray holding up a section of hair with a fine toothed comb and putting up section by section. i have tried hairglues,gels putty ect. and nothings helping!.. theres spaces in it i havent been able to fix and its turning white from the hairspray.. if anyone can help me with any advice it be well appreciated ! thank you!
