Why does everybody like Doc Ms so much?
They're so expensive! Where i live they're like $80 to $120. Thats alot for a pair of boots. I got my boots from goodwill for 4 or 5 bucks and i've had them for 3 years. Do Docs stay together well, to me they look they'd fall apart like the sole would detach or something. I'd rather by a good pair of specialty work boots that are made to stay together.

Honestly any boots will last a good while depending on how you take care of them. I wish I took care of mines better. I used to rock them everyday when I was traveling, It sucked, I had started getting holes in them. If you really want your boots to last long and even become water resistant use mink oil. Mink oil is usually really cheap and really efficient, just use a rag and rub some of the mink oil on the boots and be sure to get the creases and let them dry out in the sunlight.

You can still get the docs Made in England - genuine original style.
Though more expensive for the privilege and less variety (e.g. no steel-toe). IMHO, I still reckon from the two other friends on here that have showed the 10 hole, steel-toed docs in their pictures & webcam, they seem to have the edge in looks compared to the other styles from England.

Just double checked, you can get some steel-toe original Docs fully Made in England from The Boot Company - here's the 14 eyelet steel-toe version. Though the 10 eyelet black steel-toed ones are not the original style sole everyone knows and have a ridge round the toe-cap. They do offer a 10 eyelet cherry red with steel-toe though in original style, which look pretty nice. But the price is way too high! :O

I still think German tanker boots look awesome and unique as well as any combat boots from a local army surplus store.. But that's my opinion..

The soles look rugged on those - though I personally prefer laces, though I can see they'd be faster to put on. They are unique.

When it comes to comfort, Paratrooper boots are the best. Fully waterproof, easy to lace, and it takes years for the soles to wear our.

The thing about Dr. Ms is that they can be worn in many different ways. You can roll up, you can tuck, or you can leave the cuffs down and go for a dress shoe look. I wore my Dr. Ms' to every interview I've ever had.

I always just wear my pants where they kinda hang over the shoes and you cannot see what they are.. The soles suggest combat boots because they are rugged, but I hadn't thought about that.. Might have to look for a pair now..
