Yeah, that is pretty ridiculous. Ironic that this story came out over International Mohawk Day Weekend.

The only bad thing is that it sounds like this guy only rocked the hawk long enough to get the record. Hopefully thats not the case.

The old record holder is on this site (rawknthehawk) I think that's his screenname. In talking to him last year I think he said he has still been growing his hawk and its at 28inches back then. He just hadn't gone back to get it re-measured. Hopefully, he still has it that long and can go back to reclaim his record, since he actually wears it.

Still, its great that this other guy used the publicity to help out Locks of Love. Maybe in the future we'll have to do something called Mohawks of Love or something. St Baldricks is also another great hair/awareness event on March 17.

I donated my hair to Locks for Love a few months back, all 37 inches of it.
