Skyrim, Minecraft, Any Fallout Game. The Best.

Ah, yes!  Now there's a game I'm just waiting for a patch on to iron some early bugs - Skyrim.  I hear that it's got loads to do in side quests?

According to Bethesda, first play through to do all the misc/side quests and find all the cool shit is like 1000+ hours, though they always overshoot. My guess is 400-500. Either way, the game will steal your soul. RPG wise, you have to try Fallout 2. If you like MMORPG's, the Starwars MMO is supposed to kick ass.

That's a fair amount of time! :D  Excellent!

Well, I have Fallout 3 to still actually get into - ran out of space to install stuff currently. XD  So, have to either finish Gears of War 3 or delete WoW (which will happen after Xmas, 'cause I'm bored to death with it, and only want to see what happens for Xmas).

So, how does Fallout 2 compare to 3, if you've played it too?

Sadly, the Starwars Galaxy is shutting down in December (probably to get folk to go to the new SW - The Old Republic).  So, I'm too late.

This is pretty much how I felt about Fallout 3. Waaayyy to easy, got boring.  The biggest differences between it and the first two games are that Fallout 1&2 are turn based, there's more of a challenge, and you have A LOT more options and details. When Bethesda did 3 they moved it on the opposite side of the U.S. so 3 lot connection to the original story line, stripped a lot of the humor, redesigned weapons/armor, etc.  New Vegas had some of the guys who did the original games working on it so it was exceptionally better than 3.

On a side note, I am incredibly bitter at the moment concerning Bethesda as a result of them suing Notch because he was creating a game called "Scrolls" and suing Interplay which caused an end to the development of a Fallout MMO.

I'd heard of the Scrolls fiasco - seemed completely stupid of Bethesda to do.  I'd not heard about them suing Interplay stopping a Fallout MMO.  Sometimes you just have to shake your head at patents and trademark law.  Complete idiocy at times.

Yeah, the decision on the Fallout suit came out recently.  Bethesda essentially got a gag order so there wasn't much out on it.  I haven't heard anything about the Scrolls issue since Notch challenged them to the Quake 4 battle.  But yeah, it happens way to often ending a lot of things that had great potential and most of it is over petty things.  Happened a while back with a group trying to do a mod for XCOM that I was incredibly stoked for...and it was going to be a free release.

Doom, X-Com, Fallout series, Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Cthulhu Saves The World, Metal Slug, Mace the Dark Age, Duke Nukem, Half-life....and the list goes on.

Game I am super stoked about but need a better computer for: Red Orchestra 2: Battle For Stalingrad. The most realistic war game to date.
