Mohawks Rock

I don't know much about them, but I know people have strong feelings towards both, so lets hear them.

I feel the same way. I love facebook to keep in touch with my friends that have moved several states away for college and sometimes events, but other than that it is a big waste of time.

I feel like Google+ is the new Facebook that was the new Myspace and the chain just keeps going. I think I have had my Facebook account for maybe a year and already I've created a Google+.

I don't use either, mostly because I'm technologically impaired (in fact, I somehow managed to accidentally open the MR chat thing while typing that). If myspace didnt turn into a gigantic clusterfuck of shitty indie band ad's and failbook wasn't so confusing I might've used one of those. And here I am wondering why none of my highschool classmates email me anymore...

Yeah, that used to irritate me about MySpace and was one reason I dropped it.

I've also dropped Facebook, 'cause it really is a huge time waster and I found the wall comments shallow and short.

Google+, I've not tried, I used to like trying Google's experiments, such as Google Wave - which they closed after only a year or so after beta.  And that's one concern with Google+, will it last?  If it doesn't make advertising money, then I doubt it.

Plus, Google have become more and more invasive in requiring personal information (e.g. YouTube forced me a few days ago to enter my D.O.B. before I could continue my log-in - no skip option.  Curious, considering anyone can use the site without signing in and they already had my age on record).  A couple weeks before that, they wanted me to link my account to a mobile phone number to aid recovery if my account was hacked - yeah, right!

Nope, I'm afraid I lost my faith in Google and Facebook - they're both getting too forceful in collecting data they don't need.

lol, the oatmeal<3

Yeah, I have a facebook and had a myspace. It's really just to pass time. I hardly communicate important information through it though.

I prefer facebook to google+ because few people I know actually use google+ while nearly everyone I know uses fb, making it far more entertaining.. Maybe over time I will enjoy google+ more.
