Mohawks Rock

So, my mom called me yesterday to let me know her Rite Aid has Got 2 B products buy one get one free, score! So, I figured I'd get one spray and one bottle of glue, but noticed they seem to have a new product.

Ultra glued, eh? I thought maybe I'll try that instead of the normal glue, but then I saw that it's styling gel (and having experimented with products before I found this place, I know gel doesn't do shit for an 8 inch fan). So I was wondering, since this the product of choice for many mohawks, has anyone here tried their new product?

yup. in a 4in-ish hawk. its your standard gel, but it dries pretty quickly, and once dried will hold like a rock, for at least 6 hours in the summer heat and humidity of florida, without letting go at all. stuff works great for me.
Have you used the spiking glue? I was wondering how it holds in comparison.
when i had mine, all i used was the ultra glued, it would hold for up to 3 days with a 7 inch mohawk, and i live in georgia,

Used it to do my friends hair in liberty spikes once. Its "meh," anything thats a paste is usually too heavy for long hair, sprays are better, stronger and more lightweight.

If you want to try a paste that has some real amazing hold try Gorilla Snot, you can get it at Wal-Mart for $2. Did my 10 inch 'hawk in spikes with it, only downside is it doesn't flex with the wind so you can feel your hair when you turn your head, and it will never wash out completely.

Got2b also has a new spray called "Rockin' It" thats pretty... bad. Freeze Spray is the only good thing theyve made.

I usually use the freeze spray, and then work a little glue in my hands to smooth the top into a tight "point" so it wouldn't fray, and sometimes a little on the sides for extra hold if I'm going to a show.
Try the Gorilla Snot for the top if your local walmart has it. Back with my first 'hawk I used the got2b glue and always wondered why my hawk fell down, the stuff was real heavy and the hawk went down after about 2-4 hours. What you use it for doesnt seem like it would affect much. How long do you usually leave it up for?
3-4 days on average, I've never had problems with Got 2 B weighing it down, other than when I very first got my 'hawk cut and used only the glue.

Not seen that, but if it's a  gel I predict it won't work too well.

Speaking of new products, though, I've seen some new styling powder by Got2Be, anyone know what that's like?

I lost the 'hawk about 3 months ago, been trying to do "charged" hair, this stuff might be worth looking into.

my 6 in i had i used american crew fiber..you can buy it at walmart. it somewhat moves in the breeze but easy to control the hair in and style. another product is sumo strengh..its a strong putty

hmm the powder is not good really, for one it blows out your hand or your hair when your tryin to put it on, its a matte effect and it just doesnt feel right. The only alternative (In British Shops) if the shop has run out of Got2Be is 'Tresemme Freeze Spray' deffintely second in line and 'Shockwaves Steel Gel'....they handle my 11 inch spikes reasonably well....I also found that Got2Be Spiking Glue works best when you put the hairdryer on a cold setting:)
