Jobs for Mohawkers

Ok, so I need a job. My mohawk isn't really that long, but any length more than about an inch is considered "crazy" where I live. As many of you have guessed, I'm having a hard time finding a job, especially ones where I must be in front of people such as cashier or even shelf stocker (not even Wal-Mart would take me.) So where are some places that a guy like me can get a job? PS: NOT WORKING AT HOT TOPIC.

maybe you could try cutting it off,getting a job, get your hawk back and then wear the company hat over it. thats what im doing. of course it does rely on whether the place you work at has uniforms with hats or not.

A dude in Target has a mohawk and he's a cashier. he just can't spike it up. It really depends where you live. I live in a small city in texas, and they really don't allow them there. But most jobs in Austin don't really even have a dress code. Lucky bastards! lol. You could probably even get a job on a construction site or with a lawn service company. You get even see about working in the back part of the store in most places you apply because of your hair.

^ this =) I worked in a school for a year before I had my mohawk, but I had pink hair, multiple facial piercings, and tattoos that were visible. It comes down to skill in your field. If you have it... then you don't need to worry about it.

You can try applying for a Dishwasher job at a restaurant, they usually don't care cause your hardly seen in the front anyway. Used to rock a bright red and spiked hawk to work everyday.

i was able to get a job at walmart with a mohawk, i just don't wear it up for work. i leave that for my days off. the only thing is i have to take my eyebrow ring out and i can't dye my hair unatural colours. one of my managers even gives me shit when i DONT shave the sides.

lmao, me too! a lot of us (including a manager) go to the same bar (small town) and if my hawk isn't up and I'm not at work he gives me shit about it all night!

i tried to apply to little caesars, but the lady wouldn't even give me an application. she kept saying it would be completely pointless cuz they weren't hiring. they had a now hiring sign on the window and everything. she said they forgot to take it down two weeks later my more normal looking friend got hired there.
