Mohawks Rock

Does anyone know a recipe for a natural/homemade hair glue? I hate using an aerosol spray every time I put up my hair--it's not good for me and it's not good for the environment. However, I'm also a vegetarian, and I'm not okay with using gelatin.

Or is there even a commercial, non-aerosol glue I can buy?

I have heard that Knox makes a vegan version of their gelatin, perhaps look into that? There's the egg white/sugar mixture that some people swear by.. Or the dissolved bar soap method others prefer..
Not really a fan of eggs ^^' but this soap method, I think I'll give it a try. Thanks!
assuming the reason your not a fan of eggs is an animal rights thing, buy free range or straight from someone local with a free range flock?
I heard you can use alum. It supposedly dries hard.

Think mineral deodorants, under the commercial name crystal or something like that.

And there's always elmer's school glue, it's actually vegan.

kids I know have been putting Elmer's in their hair forever, but is it actually ok to put in your hair? Then again, I'm sure all the goddamn product I put in it isn't good for it anyway.

I saw a dude at a gig with an incredible blue mohawk that stayed up for 4 days in a tent & in the rain, He used PVA glue which I'm yet to try out myself but definitley sounds like it'd work.
