I hate happy goths they think they think that they are so kool becos they think they can blurt out shit and think they can be cool and random when are so fucking annoying
i never trust a goth who spells it with a capital G !!!! thats the mainstream marlyin manson type. that was a pointless nugget of information but yeh im bored!
I do not hate anybody but I certainly get annoyed, and very frustrated by people who are intolerant of something. Not for you so fucking what? Lets all bitch about trivial things that separate us and make them real separations instead of finding the positives in our peers, find ways to tear down walls and build a more solid human community so people are not so insecure that they have to rip apart another subculture, peoples, or group for nothing more than how they look or talk.
I'm sorry 'Da Wikkid Princess' but you've made yourself look very stupid with this post. (the horrific grammar doesn't help your case either)
I think as long as your core values are in check. (ie don't believe homosexuals are diseased aliens and white people are the supreme race) you should be free to do and act however you want.
Nothing wrong with Goths, their just another form of our Punk offspring, the same with Emo and Modern Punk. If anything you're describing a stereotypical Scene Kid, but let's not get into that. I've been Goth, Emo and Scene in my conquest to discover myself (I am Gothic and Punk) and you need to be or to have been one to critisize them. But looking Gothic is pretty neat, black goes with everything and some of the most beautiful, happy people I know are Goths. So don't bother slagging them off, I'm sure there are quite a few people on this site that love Goths, the music and the lifestyle of it.
And why should we be stereotypically sad all the time? Some of us do have mental illness and we need to be 'happy' to get over it. You've made yourself look incrediably foolish and would be wise to post an apology before you even think about trashing another subculture, because remember, you're in one.
S.Y.P ~ Marilyn Manson isn't Goth by the way, we class him as Nu-Metal and Shock Rock. Some of us just call him a knob. The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and Joy Division are Gothic, but Manson is clever, he's got into a subculture that has called for dramatics and quite catchy songs and he's rich for it, but he can't really be classed as Goth.
What I enjoyed about manson...at least up until Mechanical Animals (after that I lost interest and found him going a bit stale) is how he combined rock with some metal aspects and also, especially in the AC Superstar album a lot of industrial influence. Of course, industrial is another of those terms that has become vastly different in the new age as compared to its origins...bands like Throbbing Gristle (arguably the pioneers of the genre) Skinny Puppy, Neubaten and so on coined the term really and it was largely sampler and electronic based music. Then there came noise and power electronics as their own "sub"-genres though they are their own style for sure, and then acts that combined that old industrial with noise or power electronics...The Grey Wolves are a fine example of what became "death-industrial" then came the modern era of acts like manson who combined it with more rock based stuff....
all semantics for sure but I do think it is important to understand where genres had their starting points...as to what is true, or tr00 in any genre is subjective really...a genre that does not expand with time is nothing and really I think that is impossible....nowadays we have people liek John Tesch who combine soothign new age music with hip-hop of all things! =) I am not opposed to cross pollination of genres...some acts will do it amazing, some will do it horribly in my eyes
anyway...I think you made a good statement =) And goth music old and contemporary has been fulfilling and wonderful at times.
