Perfect Width?

Hey I'm pretty new here and I was wondering how wide to get my Mohawk. I'm hoping to grow it out pretty long, probably 5" inches or more, but i want to make sure it's not to thin when i put it up. I also want to make sure it's long enough to part down the middle for work and other formal occasions. Thanks.

just shave it as wide as the top of your head is.

mines pretty wide and long i can wear down and you cant ecen tell the sides are shaved. i have rather thick hair too. if anything start out pretty wide and if you think its to wide make it thinner
but like he said ^^^^ just do it as wide as the top or crown of your head :)

tip: prsonally the wider it is the harder it'll be to put it up

always start wide until you figure out how you're hair reacts to products , some fine hair needs width to help keep it up where as thick hair can be a little narower , I started at 3" wide for a 6" hawk and longer or 2" wide for 5" or shorter :)
