Who Cut IT??

When you got your mohawk done, who did it? Friend? Family? Barber? If a friend or family member did it, how did they get it all even and the style you wanted? Lemme hear it!

a friend of mine, he cut it pretty shitty and i didnt know anyone who could cut it perfectly. so i had to go to the barber..

haha yeah I know its not very DIY but I'm probably going to go to a barber instead of a friend lol my hair is kinda complicated, I'm gonna need someone who knows what they're doing to make it even look like a mohawk

just get the right thickness, mines 1.8'' thick. i should have got a 2.0 or a 2.2 one instead. i cant make a nice fan.

well the problem is right now my hair is long and really layered, so whoever does it will have to know how to even all of the layers out and be able to make it longer in the front and the back than the rest (<the way i want it). lol GEEZ, I sound like a girl XD lol

My hair was layered when I got it cut. It was just a matter of pulling it up section by section and hacking off some of its length- which is what you've gotta do anyways if it's shoulder length or longer. I ended up having to cut it down even more a few weeks later, as it was too long for me to hawk up.

We went off of the pupils of my eyes, and made that the buzz point on both sides, then went from there. Hope it helps some.

Richard: get it cut about 3 inches. Keep in mind, you can always cut it thinner, and having more hair to work with is always a good thing!

had it 3 inches wide 1st time when i cut it. my hair is too thick and heavy, the mohawk just wouldnt stay up, no matter if i sprayed more hairspray, it just collapsed after an hour.

this time, i accidentally misunderstood the ''make your mohawk as wide as the space between your eyes'' law. i cut it just right between my eyes, not as wide as my pupils are. maybe i should spend a few minutes more, when im making it.

1st one I had a friend do, 2nd one I went to a barber, but I managed to mangle it over time from shavin the sides to the point where you'd think I got Helen Keller to do it

The first time I went to a salon so it would be straight. I have done it myself, or with the help of my husband if I can't reach a spot ever since then though.
