Anybody else hair turn bright orange when you bleach it? Mine dose and i was wondering if anybody knows how to get that orange out? I've tried different brands of bleach, time in hair, multiple bleachings, so far nothing works. Normally this wouldn't bother me as my fave colors are green and orange but lately i'v been wanting to try dye my hair blue again but past experience says it's just gonna turn green in my hair.

So yeah, how do you get the orange out or prehaps there's a blue that cover crazy good?

Mine goes orange first, but on the second bleaching for longer it lightened up to near white - just slightly yellow (it did burn my scalp a bit leaving it on twice, first time, 30 mins, second 45). So, I'm surprised even after multiple bleachings you've not managed to get it near white...

I know the first time we tried it (me and my sister), it ended up going orange and we had to go to a hair saloon to get it bleached up to white (I was just 15 then). They also put some thing on, a tint? I think it's called, some folk here will expand further on that later I'm sure. That help turn my hair a nicer white - after a while it washed out and returned to a slightly yellow cast.

The blue in mine here (earlier pics on profile show it darker), I had to leave in over-night - a semi-permanent StarGazer dye. Then re-apply, to get slightly more even and leave it on another day.
I bleach it twice before and it did get lighter orange but still enough to fuck with the blue. Didn't want to do any more for fear of damaging my hair. My brother and mother have the same problem and my brothers bleached his 3 times in a row with similar results.

Toner maybe? haven't a clue what it is really for but a friend mentioned it. I'll admit to not being the most hair knowledgeable person (learn on the fly) but her tips are hit and miss sometimes.

i suppose i could try leaving the dye in longer, i usually give them a couple of hours but iv never tried it overnight
Yeah, toner sounds right - knew it started with a 'T' =D I fonud the blue dye just ran out after the recommended time, so decided to follow some folk's advice here to do it overnight.
Orange and purple makes blue...seems sensible! Thanks for the tip, might try it myself and save myself bleaching so harsh another time.
