Guitar Rigs, Mods, D.I.Y., Experiments

With my somewhat beginner knowledge on guitar anatomy, i shall set out on a journey to adjust my Johnson acoustic guitar's action (string hight). I've been reading about filing the nut and saddle as well as adjusting the "trus rod". I find the trus rod to be the most logical first step as if i mess up it's correctable more easily than replacing the nut and saddle haha. I feel as though i most likely will have to file the frets justa' wee.

See, meh guitar isn't exactly high end, so it's a lil high, nd teh frets are as well, nd i like thinner strings on it cause i tink it sounds a wee higher pitched, teh "extra light" so there's bound tae be some "SHSHSHSZZANG" so i'll probably need tae file it

SOOOOOO i have a few questions for anyone who knows, teh trus bar tingy, what do i use to tighten it? like d.i.y. like, could i maybe use a skrewdriver?

The truss rod is usually adjusted by an allen/hex key.

i managed, i improvised wit' a philips, just loosened teh strings nd went right down teh hole nd did meh job
worked quiet well i was wrong aboot teh buzz, not at all, a bit lower, easier tae play, job well done

i recently got a classical nylon string guitar, i paid about 100 bucks too much but i didna know till after i bought it but oh well ye? teh place is awesome, teh guy who owns it is uber cool, nd so's meh baby, i havena figured out his name yet though
I'm tinking either A.K., teh charactor eugene hutz played on filth and wisdom, or else Flynn as in professor flynn played by richard e grant on, you guessed it, filth and wisdom haha

teh guitar looks kinda sorta like eugenes cept mine was aboot 700 bucks cheaper, no wait 800 haha
first guitar i ever bought wit entirely meh own money, thin body, equalizer, compact, antonio hermosa, ill stop rambling and just add a picture later nd brag more haha im all proud o' it
