Mohawks Rock

Anybody got any stories of bullshit being done to them for their appearance? I was reading the article about the kid being kicked out of school due to his mohawk. This is something that's been happening to me since as long as I can remember. I have never had a mohawk (though I want one), However I have had so many different hair colors and crazy hair styles it's not even funny as well having had tattoos and piercings all of my adult life. I've been kicked out of schools and taunted for years over this, however I have I story that will make you SICK.
I've only been in trouble with the law once, and to make a long story short it was a mutual combat situation between myself and another female. I walked away with a shattered hand and thirteen stitches in my head where she used a weapon (I was unarmed). While I was in the hospital room being stitched up and getting my hand put in a cast I heard a police officer in the hallway declaring MY total guilt at the situation and saying something to the effect of "this one has a face full of holes and purple hair.. always THAT type that causes issues.".
People, this was my FIRST offense, and a misdemeanor AT THAT. I spent time in jail and am serving a three year probation period for this... The OTHER lady in the fight was a middle aged nurse..she got no charges and actually got MONEY for the damage that I did to her car.. while I have a permanent scar on my criminal record.. Why? Cause' I'm "different"

This is worse.

Quick edit:

Just want to clarify, I'm not trying to say "you got it easy" or anything, just showing a case that shows blatant discrimination and de-humanisation of someone for being different.
yeah that kid got killed for being different and it really sucks i know how you feel a git treated like shit but not so much for my looks but for thinking differently then assholes in high school no less so fuck it and them but people will always judge and it sucks
I never said this was the worst case possible.. I just started this thread to have discussion with others who have dealt with this issue.. as this seems to be a place to connect with people with like interests and whatnot.
I got discriminated for my piercings.
I went to a grocery store to ask if they needed employees(and they did, they'd put up a sign and everything), the manager just looked at me and said no. A couple of days later I went back, with no piercings, and got the job. I'm not willing to sacrifice my piercings for some asshole though, so I decided not to take the job.
too funny lol
HAHAHAHA not sarcasm, really, this is too funny!

that is sweet dude! my views exactly! they cheat the system, so can you!!!! LISTEN TO THIS PixieZombieRva!!!! THIS IS GOOD LOGIC!!!!!
wow this is bad. i have heard of discrimination, but this sucks ass! see? that is why i hate the fucking american government and the legal workings of the united fucking states of america. i swear i am going to invent the damn time machine and get washingtons ass back here and show him this and see what he thinks! you see it all of the time, kids being kicked out of school, beat up, bullied and, in your case, hospitalized. fucking ignorancy!
Having a title as a Nurse, looks really bad in news & I don’t doubt they backed her up only due to her occupation. If a paramedic gets caught hitting a patient, it will be front page news & perhaps throughout the world. Blows if your physical argument begin cause of disapproving your looks.
As for the kid being denied & discharged from his school, I’ve never heard of such thing. Though, times do change, that is still unjustified in my perception.
I didnt say they backed her up because she was a nurse, I was making a point that she was deemed more socially acceptable than I because she had a respectable occupation, and was far more "normal" looking than I was.
In any case, you said that. Though, what exactly might been their perception, as opposed to your appearance?
I've got nothin.. I mean.. I had a clean record, never been in trouble for ANYTHING before... only thing I can think would have been my appearance
I like to say, since I was not there. It is possible to be judged by your outer appearance & overshadow a situation. However, I really think her having a nurse title, plus there may have been some type of legal connection only enforces her supposition to be dismissed. But as I read it, she also attacked you physically. Out of defense or not, is in question. Please don’t take it as I am pointing the finger at you. My worst case scenarios have been in a small town where I was born & raised, just having a tall Mohawk & punkish style while walking down the streets would make neighborhoods call the police on me, only due to my appearance. Eventually the law came to recognized me & whether they got continues calls due to my presence, it was ignored. So appearance can overshadow a true disposition.
