Are you fucking serious? Since when do punks have birthday parties with presents and shit? I havent given someone a birthday present(excluding alcohol if that counts as a present) since I was eleven.

Alright a birthday doesnt mean shit. Im not gonna treat someone special cause something they had no control over happened that day. I say 'many happy returns of the day' and thats it. Things are different for us though we help each other out whenever its needed a couple bucks for a show a place to crash whatever. So your birthdays whenever you need it to be I guess. And for me its like this at least one of my friends isnt going to be here for their next birthday whether they die, go to prison, or have to run, at least one wont be here. So Im gonna make the most of the time I have left with them birthday or not. Were gonna enjoy everyday not just the one someone was born on.

in my opinion, the point of a birthday is to celebrate the people you're thankful for. you can be a punk and you'll still have people you care about, and that you are glad to have around. my friends are everything to me, and on any day of the week i appriciate that they are around and would give them the shirt off of my back..but their birthdays are special to me. yeah it's something they had no control over, but they are here because of that random dirty sploogetastic highly sexual in nature event. and god damn it, i'm happy for it. so i take them out and get them drunk. or take a brick over and light up. or just plain spend time with them.
