About children...
If you guys want/have children how would/do you raise them? Do you raise them on children's shows and cartoons, or do you let them watch action or horror movies?
Personally I was raised on horror movies and metal. My husband are trying to have kids and I plan on raising our kids in much the same way, except on punk not metal (even though I do like me some metal, but they'll mostly be hearing punk as that's mostly what my husband and I listen to).... and I won't have them around any illegal drugs.
So what's your take?

UGH. People like that make me sick. I've only met a tiny handful of people that do that that actually DESERVE it. (My friend Bri being one of them.)

not saying its bad for anyone else to want kids or anything of the sort.. just that i personally am not the mother type haha.
i feel kids are a bigger deal then people make them out to be though.. im not a big fan of kids ending up being parents because they were careless.

I agree. It takes a shitfuckton of patience to be a parent. Kids will aggravate the fuck out of you. Kids having kids pisses me off too. A person shouldn't have kids until they're Iin their 20s. That way they already have at least a little bit of life experience. Every girl I've ever known to have kids in their teens doesn't even have custody of their kids anymore because they were too young to be able to take care of them properly. It's sad. And it's all because they don't have the patience.

I'd agree - in general - mid-twenties give you some time to have experience of dealing with more things first and also you gain some perspective too. Well, hopefully, but then again, it's like anything there are always exceptions either way.
Yeah, patience is vital and it comes with age mostly.

Well, like I said, there are those who actually deserve it. I am not trying in anyway to look down upon those who get government help (fuck, I grew up on welfare myself up until I was 10 and even after that we only made just above the poverty line). It just pisses me off when people do not even TRY, ya know? I just don't like when people flat out abuse the government help just because they don't want to get off their lazy asses and work. Because there are single mothers out there who are raising 4+ kids, who are working, and still struggling to make ends meet. And there are people who do want to work but are too disabled to do so that also get the benefits of government help. But all too often I see married couples who don't want to work that just keep popping out kids just to get that extra money from their welfare check. Sorry if I kind of went off, I didn't mean to. But it's something I see everyday working where I work. If they're not stealing from the government, they're stealing from the store I work at. And sometimes they're stealing from both. And that's just wrong.
