They say you can tell alot about someone from the shoes they wear.
I just came across this page about 'shoe reading' - of all things!

"In folklore, it is possible to ‘read’ a person by looking at the bottoms of their shoes.

Here’s a quick, fun guide, to reading shoes.

This diagram shows areas of wear on the bottom of a shoe, but the same rules apply to the right one. Check both for some interesting results.

1. WEAR AT THE TOES.
Spending money as you go, never holding on to it.

2. BEHIND THE TOES
Sexy and sensual. A flirt.

3. INSIDE FOOT
Mean, greedy people are said to wear their shoes out here first.

4. OUTSIDE FOOT
Extravagance, wasting of money.

5. IN FRONT OF HEEL
Laid back, reticent kind of person. Also a bit shy.

6. INSIDE HEEL
Person who is inclined to me materialistic but never quite achieves what they desire.

7. HEEL TIP
Determined, firm people who know where they are going.

If your shoes squeak it is said that you haven’t paid for them yet! Maybe you bought them on credit card."

What do your shoes, boots or sneakers say? =) Give a list of the numbers above that match your left or right shoe wear.

the heel of my converse is really worn.
the rest is fine.
i drag my feet a lot.
dunno why.
There a holes in my heel tip and behind toes. I had to get new shoes a few days ago. =]
I've made new soles for my shoes from the tread of a popped car tire.
The tire was a Goodyear Assurance, so it's guaranteed for 80-thousand miles! XD
But seriously, it lasts forever.

Separating the tread from the steel belts and plies was a bitch though.
You're correct! That is the view of the underside of a right shoe - the source text has it as 'left' =) Always cool when folk pick up on little things and make you double-think.

Yeah, I'm trying to work out what folk could share in character for the outside of the heel - 'cause as I say, I think that's quite common to wear deeply away.

I was thinking it could mean: "Confident, out-going people who will drive things forward."

As in confidence in taking action, doers, rather than social confidence? How does that fit you? Are you a 'doer' that knows how they want things done?
Flirty, reticent, and apparently trying to be materialistic...and here I thought I was just being to lazy to pick up my feet.
heh heh
Interesting. I checked all of my shoes. They are completely worn out. All of them everywhere. Of course I don't buy new shoes unless the old ones become totally unsafe to wear.
Make sure you don't jigger your ankles if your heels are worn down too much - my old boots were a bit like that, started to get sore ankles because of it. =)
mine r usually the front of the shoe as i go on tippy topp tip toe so oftern to get peoples attention as then the can see my face what does that mean and the heal tip
i always get holes there
xxx
