What age did your parents first let you go to a concert?

im just wondering cos my friend wants to go to this concert coming up but her parents wont let her till shes 18. Right now shes 15. What do you think? and what age has your parents let you?

I'm sure it depends a lot upon the show, the friends you go with and whether the parents are going too.

I lived in Montana growing up so about the worst kind of concert that would come through would be Eddie Rabbit singing I love a rainy night.

My first "real" concert then wasn't until I moved to Atlanta to go to college. I think the first one was Orange 9mm, and it was awesome!

my first one was when i was under 10, offspring, but my uncle went with me and my cousin and my sister.
however the next year( i think) i went to the warped tour with my cousin(who a year younger then me) and my older sister who's 3 years older then me. was fun as hell

like GMM said, it depends all on the show and who your with.
to be completely honest i wouldn't want my 12 year old going to a punk show with a bunch of 21 year olds.

i think by 15 you should be able to go as long as your with some friends :\

I went to metallica with my dad when I was 8. I was right in the front on the floor. I could of spit on the singer if I wanted to i was so close, hahaha. Very awesome.

I was 13, which was the first time I had ever even asked to go to a show.
They probably would've let me go even younger than that.

I think my first concert alone was Billy Talent/Rise Against. I was 15 probably cause it was just after my birthday in grade 9. But I wasn't really alone, I was with my boyfriend of the time. I think if shes going with someone and can hold her own in the pit then she should be able to go lol maybe not alone but definitely with friends.

i saw the Wailers in some gardens here when i was 12/13.. with my mum dad and brother..
but the first one i went to without parents there was when i was 13 i think.. it was a pointless little village gig where i felt sick and was outside all night anyway..
my parents dont know about that one, but i go to gigs about every 2weeks now. my parents dont like it, but its better than me sitting at home sitting in front of the computer all night..
i dont see the need to not let yer kids out, if theyre going on their own and dont know anyone there its abit diffeerent, but if its with friends that you trust i dont see the necessary worry

my 1st concert was at age 19 and it was Marilyn Manson/Slayer, I wanted to go to Cradle of Filth earlier when they came through San Antonio but my parents wouldn't let me cause they said they were satan worshipers but they let me go to Marilyn Manson what's wrong with that picture?? lol
