So does my brother - there's now quite a few spyware for the mac in the wild. In fact, I read a report recently on a mac bot-net just discovered.

Didn't they change that shortly after folk discovered it? I read some stories months ago on that very problem and then within a week or so Google changed the privacy statement - unless they've changed it back...which wouldn't really surprise me either =)
Oh really? I havn't read anything on it lately, but I did re-install chrome just to read it again like the 4th day after it was out. ^.^ sooo that long ago, it was there.
Internet: Opera, Firefox, Lynx, Iexplorer (rarely used). If I can get my hands on Jaws, I will try it.
Music: Winamp
Chat: Pidgin
Images: Photoshop
Torrents: µTorrent or Opera Browser
Firewall/Anti-spyware: Trend Micro
CD/DVD Burning: Nero Burning Rom. There are others, but that's my main.
Firefox

Pidgen, Xfire, and Steam
The Gimp
Don't use torrents much actually.

And I don't have a CD burner. Thats one place to save moneys when making a PC, older ones are reaaaly cheap.
- Internet; Firefox
- Music; Winamp (looking for something with an album cover interface that isn't itunes... anyone know of one?)
- Chat: MSN Live.. is ICQ still around?
- Images; ACDsee Pro 3
- Torrents; uTorrent... gotta love a Windows program that does all that and is less than a megabyte.
- Firewall/Anti-spyware: Don't bother with either.
- CD/DVD burning; Used to use Nero but couldn't find a reliable free copy... ended up with a free one found on google.
For movies and video files I've ended up using VLC... used to use K-Lite but run into some strange problems with fullscreen so I switched... WMP wants me to validate so thats out. lol
