Mohawks Rock

Ok so what makes everyone here "geeky" or "nerdy"? As in what are your interests?

I am way into StarWars (I have a Boba Fett Tattoo), Comics (want a superhero tattoo), collectables, the occult and Gaming( both video and table top).

So what about everyone else?

Star Trek, technology and even plain old general knowledge, I just love learning new things.
I also play chess...
Where do I begin?

* I've been playing computer games for over 23 years (started back when I was 5 years old)
* Here is a photo of my setup (I've since added a SACD player, network router and a PC as well)
* Big Star Wars fan.
* Love Frank Herbert's Dune series (and I enjoyed Brian Herberts contibutions after Frank died)
* I have every Final Fantasy game officially released in Australia, except for the online game.
* When I go out to meet my geek friends from another forum I will usually have on my belt: Phone; Camera (I find it easier to have the bag on my belt than over my shoulder), portable HDD with card readers for backing up photos; my bluetooth bracelet on my wrist (paired with my phone - it tells me when I have a phone call if my phone is on silent or in my bag)
* My PC before I moved had 4 monitors - three 22" displays and a 9" mounted in my computer case.

I am at this very moment, putting another computer together. Motherboard is in, just adding 2TB of HDD, an optical drive and two video cards. I left my third video card in Canberra.

I could go on, but I won't. My head is already big enough :P~~
Full Metal Jacket on your set up pic. lol
Nice I loved mage knights when they first came out. Now I'm a heroscaper all the way.
i want to see your boba fett tat so badly now! anyways >.>

i love ren faires (renaissance festivals), SCA events, Star Wars, Star Trek DS9, The Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey, Zelda games (especially Ocarina of Time), theoretical astrophysics, paleontology (yay dinos ^.^), operas, marching band (even if my college doesn't have it so i can't march anymore v.v), astronomy, astrology, and ive just gotten into dnd and loving it ^.^
aww... you should find a way to go, but dressed up of course! thats the only way to do ren faires
costumes are easy, if you can sew at all go to a fabric store and look through the halloween costume patterns for renaissancey styles

or if you cant or dont want to sew, dig through thrift stores for a "poofy" shirt and a plain leather belt that you can wrap around the shirt on the outside, with a lot of length left over, and then just whatever pants look similar in style...

the not having nerdy friends to go with could be a problem though...
I post it up soon its actually his clan symbol that is on his left shoulder pad. Its so hardcore Star Wars geek that only die hard fans recognise it, but obscure enough that people think its just a badass skull
See DnD was one I orginally wanted to stay away from but, me and my buddy are trying to find someone to DM for us. Neither of us want to put the time in to do that.
dnd is way too much fun to not play. but i dont blame you for not wanting to dm... i just like showing up to my friend's on dnd night and playing, i dont want to have to do extra work.
Yeah I'm putting together a Gaming group with some buddies. Just hard to get everyone together.
ive seen them, but ive never read them. for some reason, i tend to stay way from giant series like that when they are by a bunch of different authors. it might be because i dont know which book to start with (i hate reading series out of order).
