How often do you change your hair color?

As some may know, I just dyed my hair red from bright green. I love the red, but I like the green even more. I think that the green has been the best color that I have ever had. Since I just dyed red, I won't change it soon, but I definately want to go back to green in May. I want to give the red at least three months, also I can't bleach it until some new hair grows out.

So my question is, how often does everybody here change their hair color? And is there one color that you use more than others. For me my color is green, but I will change it for a couple months every once in a while.

I just dye it a new color when the old one fades out, so a week to a couple months. I think orange is the color I like the most so far. But I am about to dye my hair green and I feel that might also be a good color for me.

i tend to get bored with a color every couple of months, but i tend to stick with similar colors. like ill go from blue to purple to reddish purples, that way i dont have to keep bleaching my hair. i just dyed my hair black over my natural(ish) brown and blue, so i dont think ill be dying it anytime soon.

im dying (ha) to try out green though

But how often do you bleach? In three months, I want to go back to green,, and I have to bleach the fresh roots, since they come in dark brown. I hate to have to bleach all my hair but I have no choice. No matter how hard I try to strip the red out, it will still stain, so I need to bleach everything to get an even platinum. The only thing I worry about is that the top 4 inches of my 7 inch mohawk ( i just trimmed it 3 inches) has been bleached 4 times in the past, but I hope that in three months it will be healthy enough.

Has anyone else bleached their entire head around three months after dying.

If so, did you do it a special way, and did you have any negative results.

Keep in mind I'm red now, and want to go back to neon green.

most people make the mistake of trying to bleach it out in one hit , it's better for your hair if you do two less strong bleaches a week apart and in between re-vitalise your hair with a good conditioner .

Lol, agreed. I just cut my mohawk back and it's tiny, but it's purple and I think I'm gonna use purple to the max. Got a whole bottle of Special Effects Deep Purple and I intend on using all of it before I change to a different color.

almost never anymore. i only have my bangs dyed.
the green lasts like a month without fading before i have to redo it
i gave up giving a shit after highschool

i bleached it way too much back in the day and ended up having to cut it all off

i dye my hair about every two months, just cuz i get bored and my roots grow out. i bleach mine frequently, the dye just is absorbed better that way, and if you use a heavy conditioner right after, you should be fine. at least thats what works for me.

When my hair was pink (atomic pink) I tried bleaching it out 3 times in a row and nothing happened. My hair went a bit dry but that was it. Then I gave up and dyed nuclear red over it, and after 1 month I was able to bleach it out in one go.

I switched between pink and red and red/blonde/pink for almost a year, switching every 2-3 months. Giving my hair a rest now since I was really bleach happy, I loved seeing my hair go platinum in one bleach :b

I don't really care ,i dye them when i found a nice color.I ve first dyed them forest green 8 months ago and i've also dyed them : orange,purple(it was awfull on me) and light green.I ve only bleached them 2 times between those 8 months and my hair usually are black(natural color) or yellow(bleach).
