Mohawks Rock

I have been talking to a few of you on here about the strength of the Got2BGlued Freeze Hair Spray. It seems that at least in the U.S. several of us are noticing that since about the time they released the newish can (with gray strip on top) the formula has changed. It doesn't seem to have the same holding power.

I have emailed Got2B about this as well, but am curious if this has been noticed by others as well, and if its not just in the United States.

Hopefully, if they have swapped the formula to a weaker version, they will still consider rebottling up the old formula into a new product, so that we can still have that great hold.

What has been your Got2B experience over the past few months?

I found it on sale here in denver and stocked up with 6 cans and 6 tubes
i only noticed the rebottling. i was pissed cuz i take all the stickers and put them on my plain ass door. now that i think about it my spray doesnt work as well.

maybe some guy just fucked something up in company or factory or whatever. alot of stuff in life is flukes.
Not sure about the spray, cause I'm only on my second can, but something seems to be wrong with the glue. Its my first time using Got2b hair glue, and it doesn't seem strong at all. I used ice spiker before and it was waaaaaay stronger hold. Got2b seems only a bit stronger than gel, and doesn't make my hair really crispy or stiff or whatever. Anyone else notice?
You're talking about the Got2B styling gel that comes in the wood-glue-style bottle? I've had the same experiences. For the crispy feel, the Got2B hairspray is what you'd be looking for. Any time I've used their styling glue it's been very heavy and somewhat pliable after all my efforts.
Yeah I do use the hairspray, but I just ecpected more from the glue when i used it.
I used to use the glue, but I found the styling easier with spray. However when it had dried which took forever it was quite strong.
I'm not too sure about the change in formula. I use Got2B as an afterthought, to further reinforce or repair my existing Knox hawk. I really hope they haven't changed though. This might be a topic for a different post, but another hawk-rocker friend of mine told me they changed the Aqua-Net can recently, too.
Yeah! My store got the new cans in about two weeks ago. I'm not fond of the rounded top (not used to hairspray bottles like that).

Works like a charm though, much easier on the natural curve of the hand.
I have also been using more of the hairspray recently. I originally though it was because my hair was getting longer, but now that this issue has been brought up, I think that it is possible that it is not as strong as it used to be.
Interesting thought, that maybe they would change the formula to get people to use up more of the hairspray. I was just thinking prissy hairstyle people were complaining it was too strong.
This is why I stopped Using V05 hairspray. They redid the look of their cans (tried to make it more "urban" "fashion" "sheik") and with that, I think they redid the formula.

But yeah, I was just now thinking of switching from aquanet to Got2b. But now since I hear this, I'm not sure if switching to a more expensive spray would be worth it if the strength isnt as good.
Yeah I'm gonna be spending way to much on spray, seeing as I spike my hair everyday. I wish I could find some Aquanet and give it a try..
