Mohawks Rock

There's discussion happening within Mohawk Territory; what makes a Mohawk Man? Although this discussion is about how our men choose to follow our traditions or step away from that path....being a contributing member of the Mohawk nation, be it as a warrior, entrepreneur, worker, volunteer, son or father. I thought it would be interesting to see what you all though about it.

For me its being a good responsible person, who can help out when asked, who stays and raises his children (i have a 10yr old daughter & 22 yr old son from a previous relationship), who never hits a woman, who respects his parents & elders. Who get's off his ass and makes a difference. Who takes no shit from anybody, who will put foot to ass when required / asked to do so...But I'm not the aggressor, I'm the deffender....I'm not out there to take anything away from you that you've earned, but will gladdly stand on a barricade and defends whats ours, what we have left!

So the question is: Men, is the Mohawk only on your head, or is there more?
