Mohawks Rock

Well since I seriously know nothing about technology this is my absolute first blog lmao. Anyway I live in The States in an area called by some the Bible Belt. Not that I hate Christians or anything. Just not particularly religious. So I've always gotten looks from people when I was young people thought I was a witch I was called gothic a lot, freak lol and other things. Lately though I feel quite alone and wish there were more people here like me. Sadly my friends "grew out of it" as if "it" were a stage everyone goes through or something. Friends I've known most my life told me that I have a family now why do I still look and dress like when I was a kid. I'm like whatever dude we're just different people now I guess. Not going to change to fit in though that's never been me. So I love this site, don't feel quite as alone. but. still do feel the pressure to conform especially when I feel like its my fault we get harassed by the police when we do go out. Anyway yep that's just my thoughts before I pass out about five hours too late. Ohhh man its gonna be a long day tomorrow and tomorrow is always tomorrow until I go to sleep its still today to me lol. Sorry if I bored ya or rambled on about nothing in my sleep deprived state. Goodnight. guys :)

Hey Sarah.........man, your story resonates with me on most points for sure! I don't live in the same type of  "Bible Belt" that you describe, but the rest hits home.....I too am the only one in literally a hundred mile radius with a Hawk and some people react as you described. It is sad for a lot of the critics though really, cause deep down they so badly want to be like us, yet are too afraid to let their true desires come out. That is the biggest difference between us and most people I think, we actually live the way we truly want to, while the others live the way Society "expects" them to live. There are only two ways in this world to live, and that is the way you feel or the way they expect. It's not necessarily that either way is wrong, but we should respect each individual for their choice.

So wear your Hawk proudly......cause we know how you feel and are always there for our fellow Hawkers! :-)

Thank you Dan! Very well said. I think you're right :) Not gonna be who anyone else wants me to be. Thanks so much for the support and understanding. To bad more people don't think more about why they do what they do. Hmm feel like maybe a little bit of light shines down on a small problem I've had, maybe people don't wanna be all the same and are angry because they are afraid of what would be thought if they also chose to be different.
