So over the Thanksgiving day weekend I had the opportunity to head back to North Carolina to see a lot of my family. This was the first time they would be exposed to the mohawk even after a 300 mile drive hanging out the sunroof. It actually ended up holding up pretty well, although I did touch it up a bit for a few minutes with some got2bglued hairspray.
While the adults were somewhat skeptical but still approving, the kids of course loved it. The night I decided to take it down we tested its resiliency subjecting it to baby hands pulling on it, heading soccer balls and the clip found at the end of the movie below.
The beauty of this silly little clip, was how much it made my niece and nephew think about wanting to make a whole movie based around the clip. The next morning my niece already had a plot forming underway and the cogs had started to churn in their minds. It was so much fun to work with them and see their minds go. A little instruction, a digital camera and they were off to make their film.
Below is their film about my nephew going crazy after losing wii tennis, hijacking a "semi", wrecking it into my car, and running from the law with his sister as a hostage, until of course "Officer Termite" catches up with him. Who is Officer Termite? Well, you'll just have to watch and find out.
Wish the principal who expelled that 4yr old over his mohawk had an ounce of the life and creativity these two did on just that one day from a small 20 second clip.
