i couldnt believe this happend

so this morning before i went to school i had to drop my nephew off at walmart to be picked up by his dad, while i waited for him one of the police officers that was there kept watching me. note, i had my hawk fully spiked and was in pajamas sence i was trying to get ready for school when we had to leave. well after my nephews father picked him up i looked around a bit but didnt buy anything. On my way out of the store i was stopped by two officers and they claimed i was steeling. so i was completely searched and after they found nothing i asked them why they assumed i had stolen anything and they said it was because of my apperance. so im pretty much still pissed about that and i want to know if thats happend to anyone else.

If that happened at an airport and you were of arabic decent the ACLU would be all over it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is much you can do. I do know that I'm much more cautious around cops if my hair is spiked.

I got given a jaywalking ticket one time on a crosswalk, even when my hair wasn't spiked, just because I was out in Atlanta on a weekend with a lot of out-of-towners and the cop was just dishing out tickets for any such thing, thinking out-of-towners wouldn't bother to come back to fight it and just pay, boosting his numbers.

Sounds like at least these cops didn't trump up charges, so sadly thats nice of them. Still I just found a site the other day called www.RateMyCop.com where you can report on your interactions with your local police force. I'd encourage people to use it for both good and bad encounters, to give it legitimacy though.

The cops around here are like that too, always trying to booset their numbers. im not so much mad that they stopped me because of apperances because the "punk image" in my town has a very bad reputation but the fact that they cuffed me and took me to their car before they even told me what was going on. theyre just doing their job but im definatly going to check out that site
