Long Curly Hair, Should I Get a Mohawk????

Alright, i have long curly hair and its thin, i mean like super curly, ringlets status. And i wanna get a chelsea, around 7 inches or so. im not sure if i should do it or not because of my hair. i mean i really want it though!
