Hmmm, yeah I had thought that it had already been featured once, but the admin console said it hadn't.  Might have been an upgrade in the system over the last 3-4 years that didn't catch that this had already been featured.  Glad you guys caught that and indeed new pictures are better but still cool to feature it now that the girl in the picture has found the site and her picture.

Awesome! It's funny when I say the notification about a comment on this picture I thought to myself "That picture has been up for ages, I wonder if someone will ever claim some of the original mohawk pictures I posted in the beginning to seed the website".

 

So very cool that you have claimed it, and yes this has always been a popular picture.  As you can see by the upload date this picture was seeded into the site even before we launched on Nov 15, 2007.

 

I'm not sure if we have we a way to transfer ownership of a picture to your profile, but I certainly don't want to lay ownership to it or any of the earlier pictures we used to drive interest in our fledgling community, before I even dreamed it'd blow up this big with 1,000,000+ visitors now.

I know this was posted awhile ago - but this is my photo, It seems to be all over the internet atm.

I will have to try and find some more photos of when it was like that. (I have dreads atm)
