About Me:
not much, I had a mohawk from 8/06 untill 1/08 and now I'm working on my second one as of 10/08. I've got a youtube video on how to put up a hawk. I'm making an updated version later, but here's the current one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgoBf4tyTnA
Anyways, I've had it pretty much every color, its been blonde, yellow, green, blue, orange, red, black, pink.
Someone asked for a definition of punk a bit ago, so i came up with this, I'll just get into what I believe it should be (what I am/support and whatnot) and what it really is.
for me, punk is a mindset, its not a way of life, its not a (only) a music genre, its not a fashion. Its a mindset. A mindset that you need to go out and do things for yourself. This leads to stuff like DIY, questioning authority and attempting(although its nearly impossible) to not support large, overbearing corporations. So for me, I like mohawks, I like leather jackets (tho I cannot get my hands on one because of how fucking expensive even used ones are) I like my combat boots, my studded belt, I like my 80's-90's Hardcore Punk, ska punk, skate punk. but that isnt what makes me "punk" I guess (although I don't like to call myself a punk because of what the subculture has morphed into)
I dunno, I forgot where I was going with that little ran, basically, punk isnt all about studs and spikes, it isnt about shitty tattoos and tons of piercings, it isnt about idolizing sid vicious and the ramones, it isnt about saying "fuck the government, fuck the police, fuck you!" it isnt about drinking 40 oz. in the alley and walking around downtown yelling at people because you're so fucking punk. It isnt about spending $80 on a pair of plaid zipper pants and then $40 for a bullet belt and $150 on some boots and then fucking them all up and spending more money on patches, spikes and studs.
yeah, I have my issues with the "punks" I've met, but when you meet a "real punk" you know. Not from their clothes, or the music they're playing, but from their mindset and their outlook on life. yeah
How Tall Are You With and Without the Mohawk:
6' without, I was 6'9'' with it at my tallest, second one was 6'8''
