Hey, I really suck at replying to picture comments sometimes! Sorry
Just saw your comment on my leopard from a few years ago.

I do my hair dry, use only hair spray, straight comb and a hair dryer. I start in the middle (where my hair is the weakest) and do sections of it (about 4 or so inches at a time). Each new section I make sure blends with the last one before I set it. I spray one side for good hold, a little on the other side for good measure and dry it and repeat for the otherside.
My hair, up, is surprisingly strong and solid. I also have very thick and curly hair, which helps keep gaps to a minimum. More hair per square inch, haha.

When it's not up, just give it loads of TLC - and even when it's up. It just takes time and practice. I could put up a 14 inch hawk in about 25 minutes at one point and have it looking decent. But when I first started doing it, I used thick, wet product and didn't dry it ever. The lighter the product the better when it's longer. You won't necessarily be sacrificing the hold either, which is nice :-D
