Rockin the warrior stripe. See its all about tribalism with me. Its a symbol of being a warrior. I do full speed full contact fighting with sticks in the SCA. I train in Martial Arts. I hunt with a bow and with spears. I try to live a way my ancestors would understand. I've been a punk since the early 80's so its a CULTURE for me. One I share with my Girl and our children.
How Tall Are You With and Without the Mohawk:
Eh! its still a starter hawk!!
How did you find MohawksRock.com
Image searching for girls with 'hawks. Sad but true.....
Hey, I've got a starter hawk too. Couldn't tell much from your photo, but mine has grown out a little longer since my photo. Hardest to get the hair on the back of the neck to stand up. Takes time since I've always had a buzz or combed it down.
How high a hawk do you want? Any color, if you can?
Anyway, enjoy MR, you can get some tips, if you watch the discussions. GH
Thanks for the add, Doug. I like the idea of doing a different color every two inches while your hawk grows! Get photos, of course.
I wrote an article on mohawks and the warrior heritage is there, as you say. Greeks, Romans (in helmets), Mohawk and other Native Americans, 101st Airborne in WWII and some current firefighter groups with buzz hawks.
I'm a Ren Faire buff, by the way. Love history. My ancestors were Vikings and I've been to several old Viking city sites and forts in Demark and Sweden. Relaxing in one fort barracks site, I thought 1,000 years ago I would have been here instead of at the military base in Texas! No missiles, just swords and axes.
Never heard of the SCA and fighting with sticks. Wow! now thats seriously being a warrior. I'm going to have to look out for that and of course cheer on the mohawked warrior! Welcome to the site.

Good luck with your new long (longest) hawk.
