    hey man wuts up?

  • l(A) REI (E)l ADX

cool man I'm just chill in here with my friend rollin up a joint =)
  • l(A) REI (E)l ADX

its hot as fuck during the day n humid during the night zoo it sucks hardly ever is it cold here

  • Kobalos

It was colder last week, had some snow for a few days, but it's not too bad atm.  Though I shaved the sides last night and I'm noticing it now. XD

Your old docs still hanging together? :D  I had someone offer me $200 for my old pair a couple weeks ago - but they dropped out of the deal, sadly.

  • Kobalos

Nice and warm. :S  Though, like you, I like the snow lots - not enough so far to start a new igloo though =)

This was my old pair he wanted to buy from me:

They're original DM's before they shifted production abroad.

Too much info on the toenail clipping XD LOL  What are the ones you wear to work?

  • Alexis

Poo. I think I have met the guy with blue hair for some reason, but maybe not.

  • Kobalos

ROFL 'Tis lucky I was just asking. :)

Anyway, back to price - erm...whoa, dude, that was so long ago.  Mmm...I really don't have a clue, they were new, so around $100 to $105 back then?  I doubt I'd have paid more.

How are you finding the new spikey hair in comparison with a mohawk, maintenance-wise?  And have you managed to sleep in it?  Is that possible after all?

  • Kobalos

Yeah, they are the old Made in England ones.  'Could've also been 'cause they were mine. heh  But it's surprising who's willing to pay over-the-value at times, I guess.

Still, the never went through with the offer and I wasn't looking to sell them.

That sounds like pretty good stuff that you could fix the all-round spikes with just a bit of water after sleeping.  Still, welcome back to the 'hawk - you can always try the spikes another time.  How high have you got it currently?

  • Alexis

I think it was blondeish but I could be totally wrong. Anyway how have you been?

  • Alexis

Just enjoying my break from school. Not looking forward to next semester.

Too curly? I thought that you had straight hair.

  • Kobalos

I wasn't selling them - the guy just offered out-of-the-blue online.

An inch a month is pretty fast - I think I maybe get half-an-inch.

  • Alexis

I think there is a relaxer treatment called keratin that makes your hair straight for 1-2 months. I don't know a lot about it, but it might be worth looking into.

Yeah I'm going to community college in Tampa. I hate it. I'm working for a degree in biology, but I need to transfer asap, they don't offer it. I'm not 100% on what I would like to do, but I can see myself working with animals.

  • Kobalos

Oddly, it looks like I might be getting just about enough cash for Xmas to get maybe another pair of Converse high-tops.  Perhaps orange or a royal blue - but they'll have to be cheap 'cause I can't afford them for normal full price here.

What about yourself?  How long before you retire your docs and get some new sneakers/boots and what would you go for then?

So, does this mean you're chopping the 'hawk off or let the sides grow in a bit first?  Any idea yet on how much is the Keratin treatment is?  Seems quite a short effect at 1 to 2 months.  Though if it's cheap, then that'd be good and get you what you want.

  • Alexis

Good! I'm glad it might work out for you. Doesn't your hair grow at super speed? It should take you no time.

I really don't know, I'm just taking it a day at a time. I need to do some soul searching to figure out what I want to do, I just know I don't want to do it in Tampa anymore haha.

  • Alexis

Sweet! I will totally go with! Does this mean you are in Jax again? I will be moving there in May/June.

  • Alexis

Haha its totally ok. I get busy on and off too.

I am debating on trying to look for an apartment/rent a room from anywhere between May-August to save instead of paying for on campus housing. I'm pretty sure that I will be living on campus for the fall though. My boyfriend still kind of needs to make up his mind on what he wants to do too. That is a big influence on my decision. It is a really big stretch, but rent would be cheaper with 2 extra roommates. (And I am reliable!)

  • Alexis

That is great about your hair. What shampoo is it? And your hair grows extremely fast it should take no time to grow it back out. As for the yellow, I think I liked the more crayola dandelion versus the highlighter yellow, but your color is amazingly vibrant.

  • Alexis

Hm, I might have to look into this for Eliott. He actually does have a jewfro haha. Is it expensive?

  • Alexis

It says the shampoo is supposed to enhance natural curls?

  • C.J !??

hey steve. just wondering, what dye did you use for your yellow mohawk? thanks

  • Alexis

I'm pretty sure it means it is supposed to make your hair curlier...

But yeah that is kind of expensive, but I can say that I've spent 30 bucks on shampoo and conditioner before. My dad got me a GIANT pump bottle of Nexus shampoo for like $15, so it can really go either way.

  • Alexis

I just copy/pasted what you had typed into google. But if it is working then great! I saw a Suave brand keratin shampoo the other day. I don't remember how much it was, but it reminded me of you haha.

That is actually a good idea about the 50/50, but shampoo/soap is one of the luxuries that I don't mind spending money on. I do usually feel like I am buying my own fat back, but at least I smell good and have soft hair and skin.

  • Alexis

I used Herbal Essence a lonnggg time ago and I remember liking it. It smelled like coconut and flowers. Shampoo last me forever. I have maybe 2 inches of hair and only wash my hair a few times a week. Plus I have a small head.

And holy crap that is a lot of shampoo!

  • Venom

Yo! I just made it back to Jax. Sorry I missed your comment in October. Guess I should check this place more often. It was cool to meet up with you and Skinhead Dave. I've been looking for a pair of Tiger of London pants and I haven't found shit under $60... Did you get yours from somewhere besides Red Haze?

  • Venom

Haha I thought you may have confused the two! Ebay is good for some stuff, but I'm trying not to look at stuff I can't afford. I've watched the Dr. Strange store for a while, but I don't think I've actually ever bought anything from them (but I've always wanted a punk mouse pad!). And Dogpile has come up many times, but they just cost to much for me, regardless of quality. I own a few pairs of good pants, but I hardly ever wear them. It's just to damn HOT in Florida!

  • Kobalos

Nah, after he messed me about the first time I gave up.   I never wanted to sell them anyway, so no loss. =]

  • Kobalos

Nah, and the postage over there would be high for the weight.  Ebay's a great source for spotting a bargain - especially doing a search, then clicking 'save search' on the site and ticking the 'to email you' a summary of new items that pop up each day.

It's how I got my latest pair of boots a month ago - brand new in box, a style from the late 90s that I've been hunting down for a while - cost around $60 including postage.

    Whats up Steve

  • Kobalos

Cold at night(enough to make it difficult to sleep) and mostly rain with periods of sun.   You need to share some of that sun with me - my tomatoe plants need it NAO! >:(

it seems like all I ever do is trashdig and smoke weed.

hey heyy! I forgot I had a page on this site

  • Kobalos

No thanks - but sharing is caring, as they say. :)  I'm actually chilly the last couple days - it's 12.7C outside atm!  And it's not been that much hotter during the daytime.

Sorry it's soo hot over there though - nothing worse.  I'm not visiting - evar! ;)  Mind you, all that dryness must help keep your new spikes stay out nicely. :D

  • Kobalos

It felt too cold for the time of year for sure!  I think your area siphoned up all the heat from this side of the globe this summer - I got a very rainy & cold summer. :'(

heheheh Makes me chuckle - you always find the fetishist YouTube vids showing their boots off.  That one actually reminded me the one difference in Solovair brands I wanted to be sure of last time someone was getting a pair here - the tread pattern is different.

They look pretty good.  They're Made in England (some report the leather is stiffer and harder to break in than ones made elsewhere).  Also, they tend to be very expensive 'cause of that.  Why?  You found a pair to buy?  I'd have expected you to have switched to some nice canvas Converses for all that summer heat.

  • Kobalos

It's always a good way to make boots/sneakers last, if you have at least a couple pairs and switch them daily.  They last longer if given a break regularly.

If you can handle the tough breaking in.  Not really heard anything though on long term lasting of Solavairs.  Always folk tell/show their latest & greatest boots when they buy them and rarely do a follow up which would actually tell you more!

  • VooDoo_Drunk

Haha, thoosse Simpsons years suucckkkeddddd... (in my opinion). Tis true, I can't escape the internet (Homer- So, they have the internet on computers now, ay?) but it's easy for me to disconnect from it, seeing that my speakers blew out, I no longer have internets in my bedroom, nor a facebook. I'm just living like it's "19-dickety-two"

Welcome! And Seffner is a hick town outside of Tampa. It suuuucks. But there are alot of show in the Tampa/St Pete area that I go to. How about Port Orange? Wherever that is haahha.
  • Spofdog

    Hello :)
Utah is as it always is, kind of so so
How are things where you are?
  • Spofdog

Can't say I remember Florida, I've only been there before I was of the age of ten
  • Aimee Lee Sassfield

UNRB rules. My best friend is the bass player. I love him! And I want to go see Dropkick! And I was supposed to go to that show! D: The Daytona one. I had to work, so it was impossible. :[

  • Kobalos

    Nothing to report really. :S

  • DantheHawkMan

The problem with our seasons here in Saskatchewan is they are Spring (Chilly from April-June), then Summer (Warm from July-August), then Fall (Chilly from Sept-Oct), then Winter (Darn Cold from Nov-March)......so we are basically chilly/cold for 10 months of the year. It seems like we are always in kind of a fall/winter season here. We could maybe try trading for a year and see what we think?...lol. :-)

  • Aimee Lee Sassfield

I might go see them! I am currently moving, so I am short on Funds. I already got my Against Me! and Bad Religion Ticket. You going to that? And I know them! They go to shows a lot. I don't really communicate with them, but they seem rad! But I am gonna try to see DM. That would be a fun ass show. But, I know Noel! The lead singer of UNRB. They are sooooo gooood.

And Mass Effect, right? The video?

  • Kobalos

Programming a little, starting gardening again for the 2nd year.  Nah, I've kinda given up buying boots or sneakers, I don't have any reason to.

  • CorpseQueen

Haha well you have definitely nailed it, that's for sure! Still doing the cake thing and that's pretty much all I do! 4 cakes last week two this week and a ton of Etsy orders. Keeping busy. What about you?

  • Aimee Lee Sassfield

They are pretty rad in some ways. Depends on the show!

And I needed my own place haha. It's a nice house, not apt or dulpex. A house. So I am down with it. Hahah

And I really wanted to see Against Me! but they dropped off due to issues with no drummer. :[

I really wanted to go to Megacon! The Aquabats ruled! It's rumored that they miiight be on Warped? My friend has the insiders for Warped, and he is seeing if they are on any FL dates. And that's hilarious. Do you play Dead Island?

  • CorpseQueen

Lol, going "Jersey Shore" is never a good thing. Tell your hair to behave! Yeah, that was a busy week. This week I had two smaller cakes. I actually should be finishing up my second one right now but.. I'm a procrastinator.

What jobs are you working? Good luck with school and the GED! You can do it! :)

  • Alexis

Like father like son I guess.

  • CorpseQueen

I work alone. Every cake is 100% made by me. From ingredients to the last decoration. I cant remember what cakes I was making when we last talked lol but small can be a 6"+ 8" two tier or any 10" and under single tiers..to me anyway, work wise. This weekend I had one cake and today I just finished teaching my very first private class. Which was an interesting experience. I am utterly exhausted. Tomorrow I have to make a ton of Etsy orders.. and I should probably actually get started on those tonight.. well see if I can get my ass back up again.

Wow, busy busy! Your work sounds harder then mine. Or at the very least more boring lol! Don't procrastinate too much.

  • Maegen [Loves me some Oi!]

I seriously love your hair. o:
