I was sorting out my webcam too recently, Skype's pretty good for it along with meebo (which is great for simple vid without needing sign-up or programs installed).

Skye is barren XD well, the top part is, south part is quite nice compared. It's not bad during the right two weeks of the year during summer when there's no horizontal rain & gales and the suns finally out - but not to live! :D It's a very desolate, place - the folk are friendly, but very inquisitive 'cause they have nothing to do and nothing happens on a Sabbath! Not even TV...for the real natives. Perhaps it's better now! XD

But if you like hiking, it's got plenty great mountains, bogs and amazing vistas out to sea. It'll test anyone's boots! :D

I love technology, but only when it doesn't cost me a monthly fee ;) Not that it doesn't go wrong on me too - as my recent webcam setup did too, when I tried to show my 'hawk on it. But I can usually fix things and I like finding better ways to do things.

haha I'm a little biased over Skye being stuck there growing up. But yeah, you'll find plenty physically challenging climbs and maybe even rivers. We had a salmon river in front of our house on the moors which got pretty wild during the winter. No one ever kayaked on it though.

There was a WWII plane crash on Bein Netra (sp? a mountain near us), where the tale was that one of the airmen had stumbled out after and got his his head chopped off by the still going propellers. One of my older brothers went up a number of times to the wreckage left, brought back a rusted machete and part of an engine.

That's pretty amazing about the musuem guy, alright. Yeah, no wonder you were chuffed! Would be a great feeling stomping around in a bit of history like that, that very night! To think you are wearing genuine WWII boots not probably seen on anyone else these days, just out on your nights around town in Austria then. Can imagine how you felt. Not the everyday ordinary boots there and now you they are part of your image & history too. Pretty cool.

For a holiday, yeah, it's good. Not the salmon, was too young, but I did catch mackeral, whiting and flounders up there, on the sea. Fresh water trout of course, you'll catch too. You also get fresh water eels, but they are near impossible to kill and not worth the rubbery texture. Big, fresh-water mussels is another ray mears find that might please your friend. =) Though can't remember if I tasted them or not...

It was an american plane, and although the blade was rusted, my brother preserved the case with thick varnish. It was amazing it lasted at all. The plane hit the cliff top during bad weather and tumbled down.

Well, turns out I was a little quick about my neighbour - he caught me on my way down the road yesterday and says he's going to give me one of his Big Ben tomato's - he's growing - for my pizza. I was quite chuffed 'cause it's the first return for helping out now quite a few times. But then me mum told me that he said the same thing to my dad a few years ago and never remembered to do it. Ah, well, perhaps I'll be lucky. =)

You wont have any trouble from the eels swimming - avoid any marshy areas 'cause there are leeches up there, but again, I doubt you'll even encounter them. The wildlife is pretty tame and sparse, but fish usually are pretty plentiful.

Well when I chopped off the hawk this last time, which was early May, i shaved my head completely skin, like a skinhead. And right now, I can already pull my hair, so my hair grows like really fast. Should be long enough for at least mini spikes by the end of summer, around August, just in time for school :P

I often leave drawings unfinished 'cause they take so long, so right now, I'm just doing icons and the simple things to get better. well i fianlly figured out how to do it to where it stands for a long time, i just teased the fuck out of the base. and then i used got2be hairspray and a good blowdryer and it worked like a miracle, i couldnt believe it. so now ima try and faux hawk it see how good that works. i tried using eggs whites on my friend but it didnt work out that well. i didnt know you had to mix it with sugar
