About Me:
Yo..
The name is Cami.
I attend school.
I do not know what i want to be when i become an 'adult'.
Music is the love of my life.
Most any music is legit. Some annoy me though.
I miss going to local shows. I plan to go more this year.
I enjoy moshing and watching horror/gorey movies.
Talk to me. New friends are fun.
How Tall Are You With and Without the Mohawk:
When i had one i was 5'4" ft, but since i don't i'm ALMOST 5' ft.
I was at school, in my photography class, looking up mohawks on google images to see which one i'd wanna get. It took me to a picture of a guy with a turquoise spiked hawk, with a spider and its web buzzed onto his scalp below it, and i clicked on the site below it. Apparently he is the all famous, Richard Povian.
It's pretty alright. I have a slight headache and staring at this computer screen probably isn't helping. But I did save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico. Now I'm just surfing the intarwebs 'til I feel tired enough to mosy onto bed.
Would be my hair if I could get the right stuff. I got hairspray and whatnot but I need a blowdryer with heat. Kinda irritating since I went and got this awesome hairstyle and it's limp like a noodle. Lol, a bit of a shot to the ego. Other than that I'm messing around on MySpace and listening to Rise Against's new cd on YouTube. What about you?
Ok, for one, your name is pretty damn cool. Lot better than mine. Two, the new cards suck! Old school holo Charizard FTW! The 80's were freakin' awesome and I wish I could've lived through them. My parents were in Holland all through them so I don't get much input from them. Yeah, just thought I'd toss that in there while I was thinking about it.
Ah guilty pleasures, we all have 'em. Mine happen to be Pokemon, music my friends don't approve of, decades that looked funny but are still appealing to me, and the internet. How the hell are bricks making acquaintance with your face so often? And I could understand you wanting things to hurt more than you right now, lol. And it's still kool. See what I did there? :)
Don't worry patheticness, if I've learned anything from the internet, it's that it's the one place you can be pathetic and accepted. Take blogs for instance. By the way, mine's Jorrie. The name, that is.
Wow, lack of sleep is getting to me. Hold on while I proof read what I wrote. I was saying your name is still kool. Um, I meant to put "Don't worry about patheticness". Yeah, I think that's about it. Sorry. Early in the morning for me right now.
Works going good. Getting at least one massage in a day, would like to get more but since I'm just starting out no one knows I'm here.
Oh so is this tall gym boy a hottie? Oooooh!! You should tell him he's really top drawer and invite him to the Choc'lit shoppe for a soda and then play a tune on the ol' jukebox.
Lol, thanks muchly. Yeah, I like it but I don't. Anytime I've seen it's been a girl's name. And I've been mistaken for a girl too many times. But I really don't think I'll ever meet anyone with my name. It'd be really trippy to though.
What? That sucks. I bleached mine today. Might put some pics on tonight. It didn't bleach all the way. It was blue and purple to start, Walgreens colors. After two weeks they were so faded it was really ugly, so today I get some Manic Panic Flashlightning 30 volume bleach and bleach the crap out of it for an hour. Well, it'd pretty blonde. And a pretty pink, and green too. It actually looks pretty neat. I got some Manic Panic red, but I'm gonna wait a bit before I do it. I also got it trimmed up a bit.
But something I don't understand. Why in the world can't hairdressers just cut a friggin' mohawk?? My mom did my first two and she was meticulous and it came out perfect, I just didn't have the stuff to put it up. This last time after my hair grew out I went to a salon and the lady did my mohawk, and she did it a different way. She kinda just shaved whatever off the sides until it was recognized at a mohawk. Not only that, but she couldn't just make it even, she had to make it a little longer on the sides of my 'hawk, so I had some stupid crazy bits sticking out. I had to have my mom fix it, and while she was doing so she realized that this lady didn't even cut the thing straight! Apparently my stripe it a crooked line! I'm never going there again, every time I have been there the people cutting my hair were totally rude and apathetic. Horrible place. I'm probably gonna let my mom keep doing my hair, she's always done it and she's always done it the best. It's just ridiculous how they can't do what you want, especially when it's so simple.
But what of your adventure? It sounds rather interesting, do tell. :D
Yeah, I know the feeling. I used to feel like a complete idiot when mine was down, especially when the back was long and it looked mullet-y. But there's always a way to comb it, brush it, something so it doesn't look too silly. You just gotta find a way that works for you. Have you found something to keep it up with yet?
Well picture it up there girly! I have to see this so called "mohawk" that you supposedly have. For all I know your just feeding me a line. But never the less, now we just need more girls my age with mohawks... sigh...
That's awesome! I wouldn't advise gel though. It works alright, but it's a lot more difficult. I've the best stuff is got2be glued hairspray. Works like a dream. All you need is a comb, that stuff, and a blowdryer. I found gel to be too heavy and took too long to actually take effect and hold it up. And yours' looks kinda long so I'd go with the hairspray, just to be safe.
Lol, that's great. I hope that stuff works for you, I could never get gel to work well with me. But you should definitely put some pictures up, I'm curious to see. One thing, how do the sides of yours head feel? Breezy?
OMGoodness! That's one of the first things I noticed! All of a sudden, everywhere I went was a helluva lot cooler! I'm still getting used to it, lol.
And to hell with the upperclassmen, they wish they a hawk so cool! You're doing your thing how you wanna do it.
Anyway, what's up with me? Well, I haven't worked all week and I'm overdrawn. Which sucks. But I bleached my hair and my mom is coming home tomorrow. I might even use the Manic Panic red I bought on my newly colored hair. Or I'll wait 'til my Special Effects color comes in. Other than that I'm fine. :D You? Any interesting new stories about your new hawk?
DIY, like kool-aid and shit? Don't use kool-aid. I don't blame you for not wanting to be labeled that. It's cool to not care what people think, but sometimes it's not so bad either.
So far, my favorite reaction was when I was in Baskin Robins and these two girls just randomly come up and rub my head. They were like "We felt compelled to do that". I laughed and it started a whole conversation. It was fun.
When I first got my mohawk a couple years ago there were a few people who were used to my hair being pretty long who were astonished to see it all replaced with this new hairstyle. I quite enjoyed the reactions. Got me a stalker for a little bit. First ever, lol.
Aw, come on it's not so bad. Well, actually it's rather creepy. Long story about her. Eventually she left me alone though.
Good, 'cuz Kool-Aid is bad. And tasty. Too tasty for hair, some believe. But that's about how I do my colors. I buy my own and, since it's hard for me to see all of my head at once to make sure I get it all, I usually have some one else(my mom) color my hair for me. Oh! Speaking of colors, I should be getting my Special Effects colors in Monday. Which should be Deep Purple and Limelight green. I can't wait. :D
Lol, it's not like I knew those girls. But yeah, since then I haven't gotten much from anyone. I think it was the color, so now that it's bleached most people don't give two hoots. But won't they be surprised in a few days! :D And sophomore's usually are weird. I don't think I'd let my ex get close enough to touch my hair though. I'd use a stick.
OMG! Side note! There is a "Professional Clown Wig" down in the products window thingy on this page right now. It's, get this, $289! That's the most expensive mohawk EVER! The most I've paid for mine, other than color, was $15. Yeah, someone should rethink themselves before purchasing that, lol.
Well thanks, in that case I like your taste too.
Um, heh, school ended for me a while ago. I kinda dropped out and got my GED. Not something I'm totally proud of but not something I totally regret either. I wasn't going anywhere in school, even though everyone kept saying how smart I was. I had been in the same grade for too long so I decided enough's enough and I took the school's offer to get me my GED. I passed with flying colors and I've been living by the seat of my pants ever since. That was late 2007. Wow, I just realized I've lived a whole year out of school. Trippy.
I've been pretty sick lately though. The past couple of days I've been planted on my ass hacking my throat up. I've got a sever cold, I think. My throat so sore it hurts like hell to swallow, I can't breath when I'm sleeping which forces me to sleep with my mouth open (Eugh!) and for some reason my ears are plugged up or messed up, I'm not sure, so I can't really keep balanced too well. Oh, and I haven't been able to work for a couple days, which sucks. But I have been watching a lot of The Office. Good show. I'm about to watch Weeds too. Haven't seen it before so I'm not sure what exactly to expect, other than marijuana.
Yeah, I'm still mostly sick but I was well enough to work today, which is good. It's mostly down to coughing, slight sore throat, and congestion so it's the end part of it.
Yeah, after watching most of the first season... that's pretty much it. Sex, drugs, and drama, lol. Oh well, it's entertaining I guess. I like The Office better though.
You have no clue... Man, I'm doing so awesome right now. Ah! It's great! I'll tell you all about it when I get on next, for now I'm uber tired and uber happy.
Yeah, I'll fill you in tomorrow. :D
Friday night/Saturday morning, my friends and I got bored. Really bored. We needed something to do, so we sat around and planned it out. We could blow something up... no. We could... nah, that would be boring... Let's just up and go to Florida! Yeah! So we did.
The only planning we did was how to get there. It was about 4 in the morning and we were diligently on Mapquest trying to the way to Pensacola, Florida from Horn Lake, Mississippi. Once we had the directions we threw some stuff in the back of my friend's Bravada and we were off.
It was just the three of us, and one of us was sleep deprived by over 24 hours... and driving. But he was way too wired to sleep. I road shotgun about halfway there, then the other one switched places with me and I road in the back the rest of the way. It was a fun 7 1/2 hours.
Anyway, we finally made it by about 11 am, friend still no sleep. But our first mission, seek out a coastal beach! Pensacola's a coastal city so it was too hard, in fact they had a whole kind of resort dealy set aside for the called (what else) Pensacola Beach! :D Anyway, we parked found some shops to get some flip flops and swim shorts. (Oh, haha side story; we went into a convenience store to try and find some cold meds for my throat. Anyway, we walked and I noticed this girl behind me. I turned around and she's like "OMGOMGOMG!!! Can I touch your hair!" I just laughed to myself, looked slightly bewildered and said," ...Uh, sure" *touch touch* Then she kinda just giggles and runs off.)
Anyway, we got all that stuff and went straight to the beach and had a grand 'ol time just playing on the beach. Then, we got hungry and left in search of food. We had to call my friend back home to find where all their food places were. We ate at a Hunan's (which we have a home but this one was better) and we ate all we could. :D 'Twas tasty. Then we figured it'd be a good idea to get a hotel, since sleeping in his car, while ttly hxc, did not seem like a good idea in the grand scheme of it.
So, we got our hotel and drove around some looking for other things to do. So... we went to the beach again! My friends battled waves and I watched them. And enjoyed the sand.
After a while it started to get a little dark and cold so we headed back to the car and left for more adventures. First, we went back to the hotel for a quick wash, get all that nasty salt water off us. Then, since we had talked about it so much, we decided to find a tattoo shop and check out what they had. We happened to go to the one that was supposedly expensive, but we didn't care, this trip was awesome and we had to remember it somehow.
So we go there and we're lookin' kinda unimpressed to be honest. After a while though one of the employees came up to us and struck up a conversation. We were kinda leery about him at first, I mean, he's an employee so he's probably more of a salesman. Anyway, we get to talking to him and he's got all these video game tattoos on his arms, mostly old school stuff like Pac Man and Metroid and a new school one of Resistance Fall of Man, the little grenade with a smiley face pin. He was pretty cool. We ended up telling him our story, how we just up and packed some stuff and came down. He was pretty impressed. He was like," Man, that's a great story. You guys gotta get something while you're here. If I were an artist I'd give you tats for free but I'm just the general manager so I can't. But if you come back tomorrow between 10 and 1 it's a great time to come in." So we did. We went back the next day, the day we're leaving, and we wait around so we can get a tattoo. My friend sees one of the artists go into the deli next door and he goes and talks to him and again he hears our story and was impressed as well and said he could get us a hookup. We wait around and we all get tattoos. My friend who brought us got the Monster M on his arm, my other friend got a really great looking cross on his arm and I got a purple and black nautical star on my leg.
After got our new tattoos we absconded to a local eatery where we feasted on Double Quarter Pounders with Cheese and left for home. About 8 hours later we had made it back from our awesome adventure. And that's my story.
:D
It's not problem lol. And what's crazier is since then I went on another trip and got another tattoo! A clover on my left forearm. It was spring break. It was great. And I do love my star, it's pretty cool. :D And I got my mohawk back! Sooner than I thought. It's short and purple lol.
Muchas gracias mi amiga. :D I really want it to grow out though. It's bugging me with how short it is. It's growing quick though, just not quick enough. :P I hear zinc is good for that though.
Ah yeah. Me too. Minus the sides. I just shaved the sides down to my skin today. A friend helped. And when I get some zinc I'll let you know how it goes, lol.
Lol, wow I can't say I've been so lucky lately. My friend took me to the movies. He paid :\. It's just 'cuz I'm broke though. Saw Fast & Furious. It was pretty good, I'd recommend it.
