heyy. im courtney. i have 12 piercings in my ears (stretched to 0gauge and 2gauge in each ear), and my tongue and my belly button. im getting two microdermals on my left hip tomorrow! :) no tattoos though
kayy so i want to get my uvula pierced.
because its pretty uncommon.
but the problem with that is finding a piercer who knows how to do it.
soo... im stuck.
any ideas? lol.
You know, I was just looking through our piercers portfolio and I saw that he has done a uvula piercing. Dunno if he's doing them still, but just shows they are out there to do.
to be honest, if you find a piercing studio in your area that has any kind of recognised qualification and you tell them what you want they will probably know how to do it, or know someone that can do it if they dont know themselves
i was thinking about getting a blacklight tattoo (one that shows up in blacklight) but i heard it has weird reactions n stuff like that when u get a sunburn so im thinking twice about that
yeah, apparently over a bit of time, it turns yellow in your skin and you're able to see it a lot more without the blacklight. but i still think its super awesome haha.
hey so if i dont use a hollow needle to pierce my ear, i keep hearing mixed reviews, that it will get infected from skin getting pushed into my ear (im using a pin) but then i hear tons of people saying theyve just used a sewing needle. does it really come down to matter of sanitation or what?
hollow needles are better because they actually remove a small piece of flesh. if you use a regualr needle, insteading of making a clean hole, you are shoving the tissue to the sides and making it bunch up in order for the needle and jewelry to fit through. if it's just your ear lobe, this doesn't really make a huge difference, as that is all spacing your ears does as well. there is a little bit more of a chance of infection with this, but if you keep it clean and try to avoid hitting it, it shouldn't be much of a problem. but keep in mind, it's alwayyyys better to use a real piercing needle for piercings. hope this helps!
It's been quite a while since I've heard anyone talk around here, but I see more lovely faces. So let's give the new people a chance to say hello! What do ya say new people? Give us an introduction and what brings you here!
i love tattoos and piercings.. I'm doing my tattoo apprenticeship at my uncles shop its hella badass i get to do my first tattoo on my friend in a couple weeks...
um for me my uncle called me up and asked if i wanted to be his apprentice.. i know he normally charges 10grand to take an apprentice.. and i get he's giving me all his machines and equipment when he steps out into the owner role and i take over... so you need money and a shop that will take you as their apprentice and tattoo equipment.. lol
I did my first tattoo today..it was awesome... my friend got it free and my uncle said it was the last tattoo i'd do for free cause of how well i did... hella stoked
fuckn a. I remember when i did my first piercing on someone...it rocked my fuckn balls. cant draw for shit so i started piercing my buds an then others an started gettin paid for it. HELL YEA
i got a huge friendship scar on my arm (me and ash) have it and it was given to us by our bff who always cut himself hes not our friend anymore but we both still have a big scar from it. he did it to himself too but he didnt scar. it shows how strong me and her frienship is. ill put up pics one day
I have scarification on my inner ankle I did myself as a symbol of love for a friend who passed. They know have random ones colored in because I get one colored for every year she is gone. I will eventually run out after all 23 are colored which is how old she was when she passed. Seemed appropriate. I have also had a corset piercing and was supposed to do a flesh pull, but had seizures and couldn't. But I will soon/1
i do!! i used to tuck in my septum till my friend pointed out that it doesnt make a difference if i tuck it in or not because of the other piercing i have. lol.
i call em friendship scars cuz me and her have been thru so many things (we should soo hate eachother by now) but we dont!! and we never will!! (i hope) hah
Haha, aww. Amanda's starting to wuss out on this? =P Just messing hun. Actually, I have a story to tell, as well. I got my bridge done recently, too. The start of the story goes like this. I've been drinking all night so I wake up to go to work with a hangover. It sucked and Jim our piercer said, let's do it today. Hung over and without anything better to do, I go Sure. So the piercing went in and BAM my hangover was gone instantly. I love pain
..I got my flesh tunnel 5 days ago, 7.5mm. Everyone is freaking out since everyone is ignorant on bodymod where I m from. All they know of is the regular ear piercing and the girl's navel. How long before I can start removing the ring safely? For work and such..
Hey, I've only just joined this site & group so firstly just wanted to say hi, and then then secondy I had a queston.. So, Hi!
And now moving on..
I used to have my vertical labret pierced about 9 months ago but had to take it out after about 4 1/2 months as it started growing out, I think it might be because I downsized the bar too quickly but it all seemed healed and stuff until it started to push forward on my lip. Its completely closed up and healed now and if i squeeze my lip where it used to be pierced there is a bit of scar tissue, so I was wondring if I got it re-pierced a tiny bit further back, kinda behind the scar from the original piercing, will this prevent it from growing out a second time? I've asked 2 differnt piercers and had 2 different answers lol..
I just got back from goldendale for the abate of wa. spring opener tattooed a bunch of bikers.. .. pretty badass.. different than tattooing in a shop for sure....
ive been wanting to apprentice, but ive heard its really hard to get on somewhere good, so i was wondering if its even worth the effort.. and also what you need to know to be able to do it..
An apprenticeship is always worth it, in my opinion. You'll really learn a lot from the people you want to apprentice you. It does take a lot of time and patience and searching. The whole trial and error thing can be done but it's not a safe practice to really be trying out. You can really hurt someone if you're not familiar with what you're doing. Dunno if it's for piercing or tattoos, but I did my tattoo apprenticeship and I loved ever second of it. Even the hard stuff
..I was interested into apprenticing for a tattooist but it doesnt lead me anywhere where i live. I d have to go abroad just for the apprenticeship. so lately i just scrapped that one out
hey,i'm kinda new to the site, anyways, i have 14 piercings an one tattoo an want many more, and i was wondering if i pierce my brow, how long would it take it grow back out ?
what you're talking about is called "rejecting", and if properly done, an eyebrow piercing will not reject for a long time.
you could probably get a few years out of it if you take care of it well. if you keep bumping it and getting it caught on things, it will reject much MUCH faster.
..ok so I just did my other ear lobe 2 days ago (tunnel) went from a regular straight to 7.5mm, and now its infected argh!! how long does it take to heal so I can expand it again?
Bruno
I also plan to have barcode done on the side of my head or back of my neck.
