this one girl keeps rubbing the sides of my head that I shaved because they're fuzzy. it used to feel good. I snapped and yelled at her the other day. Every day for six months of petting me and stopping me in the hallway gets to grating on your nerves. I agree with the hair crunching thing. people LOVE destroying mohawks :(
I don't have my hawk yet, but having the color I used to have this one really creepy guy sit behind me in class and pet my hair. Thing is its so dead its hardly soft. D:
i dont mind when people ask to touch it, but its true about the crunch part, that pisses me off, at the moment ive got a mohawk top with a mullet kinda look on the back, sounds weird but it works, anyways most people now just play with that part so the hawk has been saved for now!!!
oh and th kids part soooo true, usally have hair glue in my bag when im out and about for emergancys and all, when kids stare at the hair, if there parents dont mind ill give them quick alittle fauxhawk, makes them happy....
nobody ever asks to touch my hair =/ they just touch it or pull at it like its ok, i mean wtf ?? and people wonder why i say ill eat there children.. does this ever happen to anyone else???
ppl always r touching my spikeys, i hope it wont just amplify when i finish my hawk. but it probly will. i think they like my spikeys, but ppl come out of the woodwork way more hardcore when ive put new colors in. so when ive got the hawk done and colored ppl will probly go insane or some shit. i dont care. i like my hair. its what i do for me, so f'em!
I get folk now and then asking to touch it. I usually don't let them cause it's normally drunk folk. Kids are great though, i love it when your hear them go " mum, mum, mum, mum.... look at that guys hair" Then mum always makes out that nothing was said. lol
I had an old guy sit next to me on the bus yesterday tellingme how cool my hair was. It's bright yellow at the moment so it does tend to stand out. lol
i was at waffle house the other day and me and my friends all have hair that isn't really average. a guy walked by and told his son to say cool hair so we didn't really know who he was talking to, then he told him to say that he wanted one, so it had to be the mohawk.
I went to New York City. not a mohawk to be found but some small babyhawks and one guy with a Frohawk (which was awesome \m/). Twenty three people got their pictures taken with me. I felt like a rockstar. I went to the Museum of Modern Art and I caught people sneaking pictures of me when they were taking pictures of the sculptures and stuff. to conclude this, I'm big in New York City lol. Best school trip ever. :P
i usually don't mind, i get alot of ppl wanting to take pictures more than touch it. i don't really get the reason for wanting to touch a strangers hair. i guess the most annoying thing is going to a Mall where lil 14-15 yr old girls come up in packs and giggling, its awkward cuz they ask the dumbest questions. however i do try to keep my cool and be nice.most annoying question EVER is "how do you sleep with it?"
DuTu, same thing has happened to me acouple of times, when you look about and people try to take a picture of you without getting your attension, i usally just go over and ask if they would like to take a proper photo lol, went to a fancy bar last weekend and literally half the people in there were trying to take photos thinking i couldnt see them take the photo, i just found it really funny....
Next time someone asks to touch your hair tell them it's a dollar. :)
I charge people all the time. Some will actually pay. I have made around 50 bucks. Oh and pictures are $5. Haha trust me it pays.
Here are my favorite questions:
- 'Is it real?'
- 'Is it hard?' haha ;)
- 'What's wrong with your hair?'
- 'How do you wear hats?'
Some people are real bitches about it. I was chatting with a friend, and a little skank came up and asked if she could touch my hair (just completely ignoring that I was in the middle of a conversation) and when I politely (and slightly angrily) refused her, she said I was rude very loudly and made a swipe at it.
Since then, I haven't been as nice about it. I'm thinking I should start charging people as well, though. Fast, easy money =]
Some guy actually gave me ten bucks so I would let him touch my hair.
It kind of made me feel like a hooker lol
But seriously, fucking annoying. This is what you say to people when they ask dumb questions: And yes, people do ask these questions:
-Is it hard? No, I hold it up with static electricity.
-Do birds get caught in it? Yes, I use it to catch my dinner.
-Does your hair do that when you're turned on? Yes. But just because my hair is turned on, doesn't mean I am.
-What's wrong with your hair? Oh jeez, I don't know. It just likes standing like this on it's own. I have to hairspray it down.
-Do you cut holes in your hats? No, I buy two hats, one for each side of my head.
-Is it really your hair? No, I cut off a horse's mane.
yea if people ask why you charge say its going towards the upkeep of the do.Hairspray and dye doesn't pay for itself. lol.
when people ask if it is real that is the most retarded thing to come out of a humans mouth. i've never met a person with a fake hawk well besides fauxhawks but that's just ghey. the fauxhawk is almost the same as having a really bad mullet. tellin people "yea i like to be hip and cool, but i also like sticking things up my ass" i agree that's totally offensive and that's why no one should have a fauxhawk, it offends people :)
I don't mind letting people touch my hair, it just pisses me off when they take a swipe at it without letting me know. Or they try to touch it without my noticing. that's super annoying.
anyone have any hair dye recommendations? i'm wanting to do my hair a lime green color and can't find anything that is good. most dye's like that don't last very long. any suggestions ?
Haha. I've only had one person ask if they can touch my hair, and I let him. He was some weird cell phone booth clerk and I just walked by and asked "Can I feel one of your spikes?" Haha. But I bet it would get annoying after a while.
once more then 2 people are touching my hair at the same time I start to not like it. Its a bit strange standing in the middle of a group of people who are petting you and all going oooo yeeeeeeah.
As for people saying stupid things I am really used to that. I was the nanny ofr 2 year old triplets and a 6 year old for a long time and people always thought they were all my children. They see a girl with crazy hair and 4 children on her own, they will stop they will ask dumb questions. Are they all yours? are they natural. arnt you a bit young? Is it hard to get your hair like that and that color... Or people just gawked. Honestly I wont complain about all of this strange attention. You meet people, I liked seeing people's reactions. Most of the time they have no idea how they look. Some people have really funny looks on their faces. You just practice polite conversation and you can be on your way soon enough without having to start anything. Its more peaceful.
I get the question constantly. I usually let them do it. No one has ever flattened it or messed it up. They usually just pat on the tips. I've gotten used to it. I figure if you're going to have a green mohawk, it's only natural that people are going to ask questions, stupid or otherwise.
i had one girl yell acroos the parking lot one day "oh my god! your hair is amazing!" a minute later or so when i got in the store, she walked up to me and asked if she could touch it. i said yes and she reached out with both hands and stroked it from base to tip. it was a strange feeling having someone else do that. her mother just laughed and said" hope it doesnt rain". other than that one girl people just gawk and talk like i cant hear them when im two feet from them. i love when kids see it and they start asking questions. i find it humorus.
it does get fucking annoying i live in southampton in England and when i walk through a shopping centre 90% of people stare and touch my hair it is fucking annoying
The other week me and a friend were chillin' in town, and some 30 something woman (drunk) came staggering up to us and tried to grab my mates hawk! he just goes 'FUCK OFF'
and she said 'well you shouldn't have your hair like that then!'
I mean, its one thing shouting shit at you, but fucking coming up without consent and just touching someone?
She was a prick.
I wish i got the question more. Not because i wan't attention, but because so many people just touch it. I agree that its my body and space, and just because its not normal doesn't mean you can touch it without permission. Just like im not going to fondle your belly button piercing. Know what i mean?
no fucking way. I let some cunt touch my hair once and she smashed it. in the back. i fucking flipped out on the bitch and ended up getting suspended for three days.
i went to a club local to me and had at least 20 people touch my hair without my permission and completely screwed it up! next time i'm throwing punches. >:D
I let people touch it If they ask. I have actually offered to let someone touch it XD. But I have never had someone pull on it our touch it without my permission...
Except one time my dad stuck about a dozen plastic forks in it at a family gathering, wish I had a picture of that.
Can i poke my face with your hair? lol This one time i had it spiked in liberty spikes probly about 11 inches long died ORANGE, I was in the lunch line at school and someone yells "ouch! you just poked me in the face." i turn around and say, "Hey, if you cant see 11 inch ORANGE spikes protruding from my head then you have a problem. Keep your face away if you dont want to get poked."
Shit, it pisses me off when they run up and grab it then run away, the freshmen guaranteed, by the end of the first week of school, all have asked to or have grabbed it at some point. I don't mind the ones that ask, becuase I'll tell them not to crush it, and they won't, but what realy pisses me off is when I'll fall asleep in study hall some prick will come and stick something in my hair, and no one will have the decency to tell me until 2 periods have passed.
# 1 question "wow what do u use to get it to stand up like that" #1 answer "lots and lots of jizz" or "ya momma" i like saying both of those and acting like a complete dusch when i say it
I let all my friends touch it tho, they like feeling it up and down and watching it bounce back, and most of them call me Peacock, or Mohawkeded now. lolz
lol i went to a blink 182 concert and all night ppl were asking me can i touch ur hair?? so i started telling them they could if they bought me a beer $8 a beer and me and 6 friends drank for free all night XD
i went to a confide show and this guy that was just taking the mike between bands kept making stupid jokes about the stupidest things and out of nowhere he was just like "love the mohawk, yea over there nice hair, very cool etc." and then this chick that i guess was his friend was taking pictures and i kept getting the feeling that she was secretly trying to take my picture but eventually she came up to me and my friends and asked if she could take a picture of us, and at the end of the show they both came up and asked me questions about it. and another time i went to the same place this girl kept touching it, and when i had my back to her, she or some band guy she was talking to just yanked on the back. and she kept doing it until i was like "you know that's my hair right? and it's attached to my head" so she was like "yea, but it's so cool" and i was like "thanks but it's still my hair. what if i went up to you and just touched your hair and was like wow ur hair is so cool" then i grabbed her hair and she was like "yea that is weird" and that was the end of it. so now that's my plan, people touch my hair without asking and i'm gonna touch theirs.
story of my life... lots of times people touch it gently, without permission. i don't care, though. i just ask if they like it :P
mostly black girls and old ladies do it.
you have no idea how pissed i get at that. at first it was alright and i put up with it but it gets so old that now the convo. usualy goes something like this.
annoying person- "can i touch your hair"
me - " can i touch your tits/girlfriends tits" (depending on the persons gender)
try it some time.
best case senario you get to feel some tits. always a plus :D
ppl have this strange obsession with just grabbing my hair and poling on it like they expect it to come off. .. its attached ppl. its so stupid even when i don't spike it. they all seem to think its fake. black chix seem to think its "weave" . or ppl think my mohawks fake cause i have long hair... its still a mohawk its just not the most common way to have a mohawk it is cut to be a mohawk with very long sides the top is cut different ... but they pull on the hawk like its gonna pop off.
where do i start...so annoying.. ok:
A) NO you cant touch it!
B) don't reach to touch it after i told you not too! DUMB ASS
C) NO you cant take a picture of it!
D) why the FUCK would i do my hairstyle on your stank ass?!?
i get asked 2 of these questions everyday at least two times a day...
eerrgg. my result was to become one of the "ipod people"
i dont mind a smile or a compliment. im a very nice, open hearted person who will make convo with almost anyone who presents it in a respectful manner! just respect my requests and it will be all gravy baby like a 70's soul train episode lol
