Ok, I don't want to come across in a prejudice manor. But I was wondering if there are any chicks that are straight with hawks on here. It seems as tho there are a lot of people who ask if I'm gay. I'm not, I'm married to a wonderful man and have 2 kiddos. I just wonder if I'm the only one or not. I love my hawk and support anyone of any walk of life that has one as well!
  • Green Exile 82

    Hello all... :)
  • Hex

Shonda, I get that. I've a married friend who also gets that...if we run errands together, people think we are a couple. however, like Nicole, even before the hair i've had people assume they know my sexuality. i live in the bible buckle so even having short hair as a female here makes the old biddies squwak amongst themselves...... if they don't think i'm gay they think i'm going to rob them. fortunately i have a wonderful man who thinks girls with hawks are sexy, so i'm not terribly concerned about others who have nothing better to do with their time than make speculations about my life.
  • GloIsInWonderland

i'm not COMPLETELY straight, i am bi, but i do dislike how people think that just because a girl has a hawk she likes the puss. HAHA
  • DJ TRoLL

Hi! I'm DJ TRoLL, rock journalist filmmaker! I bet you listen to music by some of the people I interviewed (Misfits, Lower Class Brats, Star Fucking Hipsters...) Let's be friends! :-D
  • Joey

Dyke here, but most of the girls I know who have 'hawks are straight.
  • Shon

I'm glad I'm not the only one who deals with all that, even when i had longer hair people still questioned my sexuality. It's strange cuz I love hanging out with guys cuz I hate drama, but most of the time I was dating one of the guys. Even now, I live hanging out with other chicks on occasion but I like hanging out with guys. I'd rather hang out with my non social husband then some prissy chick down the street. LOL But that doesn't mean anything, that's just how I am.
  • iT

People are ignorant. It's a waste of time to care or think about it. I am queer, which is another sexuality altogether, my mohawk, however, has nothing to do with it... why would your hair have an affect on you who sleep with? haha people... I just don't get them sometimes.
  • Rob Willis !

    girls with hawks <3
  • Sesh Hunt

Hey guys! Just a rant....Anyone else get called 'sir' alot?

Haha, guy got rimmed at the bank for calling me sir the other day xD love it!

  • Makenzi Fucking Sucks

I love the looks I get from people in this po-dunk town I live in. "Like, OMG! A girl with a mohawk! Like, What the heeeeeck?!"
  • Mohawk Kellye

I get called sir all the time but mohawk aside I have a masculine look heh
  • Kelley Biohazard

I haven't ever been called sir but I do have fairly big tits, hah, but no i haven't bee claimed to be gay or anything so I guess I'm probably one of the lucky ones but besides that I just get the typical punk sterotype whole shit all the time. It gets annoying after a while doesn't it?
  • Joey

NEW PIC! Much thanks to Ashley, who made it for us.
  • Boogle

I get called sir with or without the mohawk.

Hair isn't a big issue, I think it has more to do with my low voice and how i carry myself.

Nice group picture by the way.

    :}
  • Britt

Little kids always know im a girl but adults are always calling me 'sir'... it gets really annoying. Im not going to dye my hair pink though just to help them out. It just makes them look stupid haha
  • Opel

Why is it so hard to find a crusty punk around here? hmmm...
  • Brenda Arreola

Hello :) I don't have a mohawk but I'm thinking about it. I find them very attractive.

  • Brian A. Moum BAM

ironic, i get called maim all the time, now that i have a pink mohawk! I love it. the main reason i chose pink, besides the fact that it is a pretty sweet color, is because i live in a college bar town with frat boys everywhere! Get some pink hair into the mix and they start to get nervous. anything i can do to make a fratboy frown

I'm trying to cut my hair into a tri hawk but having some trouble. Can anyone give me some tips?

  • Andy

Hey!! So I have my senior prom coming up in a week

and I just thought it would be hip to see if any of you ladies have pictures of yourself in a mohawk or the likes at a prom or wedding, etc.

fancy dress and a badass hawk?!

I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to put the hawk up or leave it down.. and whether or not to add the color of my prom dress (green) to the mohawk. Also, my date is super goth, and he's got the whole.. Robert Smith hair goin on... So we'll be lookin pretty crazy. :P

but yeah, please share pictures if you have any. That'd be so cool!

  • Boogle

Hey Andy, i'll have to find pictures later but here's a thread to help kick start some ideas:

  • DantheHawkMan

So I switched my Hawk into a Chelsea Hawk.....do you people with Chelseas usually use a curling iron on your bangs? :-)

  • Mini McTainsh

Hey! I was curious what products people use to keep their hawks up?

  • DantheHawkMan

I use Got2B Freezing Spray as my initial spray along with a blow dryer to get my Hawk up. Then once it is all up and done, I spray it with a hard holding hair spray. After that, each morning I touch my Hawk up where it needs it, usually with Got2B Freezing Spray and a blow dryer, and again, once it is all finalized to where I want it, will give it a spray with hard holding hair spray.

  • Boogle

    Mini McTanish:

    Wet my hair
Use a small amount of mousse and focus on getting it just in the roots of my hair.
blow-dry my hair upside down (sometimes i straighten it with a flat iron too, but thats optional)
With a teasing brush, I back comb my hair.

shape it with my hands, add hairspray, shape it with my hands, add hairspray so on and so on until i get my desired look.

Your mohawk should be more soft, fluffy. and ratty looking as opposed to hard, stiff, and spikey.

    The products I use:
Hairspray - Rave (which ever strongest hold they have)

Mousse - TIGI Catwalk Mousse (but I'm sure any will do)

Both of those can be found in an American Drug store like Walgreens or CVS.
