you can use acrylic just fine, but it's best to put down a white base first,(i use cheapo spraypaint for this) otherwise the colours wont stand out as good. Also, it's best to put on a coating of clear shoe polish or weatherproofing wax from time to time to protect it
Motörhead bloody rules. Saw em live in gotheburg a few year ago, they did a Thin Lizzy cover in memory of Philip Parris Lynott, me n my friends were then only ones how knew the lyrics. Screamed so hard none of us could talk for one week after that concert hahaha, Bloody brilliant :) Motörhead wins
So, my friend is popping out a child, and she asked me to make her a diaper bag. I used no pattern, and had no guidance (except from what I remember based after making my dogs back pack last year). It doesn't have a strap yet, but this is it. I should have used bonig, since it doesn't really want to keep it's shape.
anyone no where i can find a FUCK THE RICH jack batch full for back of jean jacket or even a smaller patch. also a bud had 1 but cant find one that shows a cemetary an it says NEW HOME OF THE FUCKN RICH
heya what is the best sort of paint to use to paint A) an entire sleeve and B) the bits around the pockets also is there a easy way to get the spikes through the leather as the way i have been doing it is a bit tireing on the arms lol any help will be greatly apreciated
cheers mate thanks for your help is there a certain type of paint that is good or just ordinary spray paint for like graffitti that sort of spray paint
im honestly really terrible with sewing patches on. also can anyone tell me where to find thick thread and needles to get the bad ass stitch work? im just now sewing a patch on for the first time and it looks rather lame with small normal thread
Alexandrea, I've actually got a similar collection of scraps and such. I'm thinking I'm just gonna sew them all on to a vest until it's covered and looks tattered.
im making a dress out of squares cut out from old clothing, and then imma make plaid pants out of random plaid scraps, mostly held together by sippers and buttons. interesting projects.
oi oi @ catseatrats erm the best pain i used was some of that warhamer figurine paint stuff my mate does em and i randomly tried it to do a patch with and that stuff works amazing i used for a few patches on my jeans washed am a few times since i put the patches on and they still look as god as day one that stuff also works great for leather painting used it on my jacket about 2 years ago or more and i wear it everyday never needed a touch up
also yeah, standard acrylic paint'll do fine for patches. Personally I like stencilling cos it's easier to get a nice even finish to them but freehand should work fine

to Toker - considering the nature of the slogan, surely making one yourself is most appropriate?

As long as it holds on ..I sometimes make a zigzag sewing pattern and sow it again two or three more times depending on how weak/loose it feels.
