When I do mine, I spray the base of the hair, back comb heavily, spray again and hold it in place while I blow dry it on each side. I've also stated crimping all my hawk and brushing it out before I start, as it makes my fine hair way fluffier and gives the hawk more body :) If you're just starting out, it can sometimes help to divide the hawk into sections with hair bands so you can get it even. Yeah I got the idea from a deathhawk tutorial on youtube from a band called Shadow Image, best tutorial I've watched yet. And as my hawk's current;y at about 13.5" I'm always looking for new techniques to keep it up!
