I use el cheapo hairspray that brushes out but holds fast 

or Gelatin depending on the cash situation

i use aqua-net 1st then i use got2b to keep it super strong for all day use

try l'oreal studio indestructible extreme glue not sure how it will work on long hair but works well on medium to short lasts about a week you can just make it wet and restyle your hair down side it can drag the dye out of your hair .......
