Man :( my micro dermal anchor got totally injured. It's not ripped out but its been sore for a couple weeks now and I think its gonna reject :'( I love it so much I don't wanna lose it. I tried to look up how to care for it because the only shop that did it is gone now. Everything I've researched has different ways that contradicts how to prevent it from rejecting :( Anyone have any tips. I need some advice or I think I'll have to get it removed.

Boogle, I wear continuous rings in my nostril. So no balls to deal with lol I hated that too . With these they just bend into place but you might want to get a few because if you take them out a lot they definitely get bent outta shape. I have two on one side. I took them out after a while on the other side and had the opposite re pierced :) Although scar tissue is a bitch to pierce through it could be done if your particular about the side.

Boogle, when you get your Septum pierced, why do you keep taking it out?? If you don't want people to see it, just flip a retainer up inside your nose. That will keep the hole open and no one will know. 

As for the nostril, use a nostril screw if you don't want to bother with a back to get on or use a horseshoe if you don't want to bother with a ball to get in on a captive bead ring. :-)

If everyone would just check in every second or third day and just post a few words even, it would sure help us out. Aren't we all proud of our Hawks that we want to share everything about them?? And this Site is so much more than just Hawks.....it's FauxHawks, Tatts, Piercings, Music, and just general help with life in general. So let's all do our part and help each other out! :-)

In answer to your septum question, it doesn't really smell when it's healing. but if you wear your septum retainer up inside your nose most of the time like I do, it can the odd time build up a bit just above the retainer and cause a slight smell that only you can smell. Usually a blow can fix that up. As for the cold, I have never really worn mine down yet in the cold, so I can't honestly say. With it up, the cold doesn't bother as far as I know. I guess I'll find out in about a month! :-)

What happened to this site? You 3 are 98% of the activity for many months. There's not even enough content to generate a "top 10" on the main page, it's just the top 1 right now. Not complaining, you guys seem fun but just an observation.

I have a lot more ideas for ink but as far as piercings I just want my septum done. I heard that while it's healing it smells nasty and when it's cold it's no fun. Is that true?

yeah well the girl that has her septum done wears her jewelry flipped down and visible and our boss doesn't seem to mind it. 
I might get my nose re done later, ive had it re done a few times though (like 2 or three maybe?) so im unsure how many times you can get something repierced. 

i used to wear a stud but i hated it, and when i wore a ring i always had troubles changing the jewelry cause its so hard to get the ball back in the ring! 


ah oh well, I'm sure i'll figure things out :]

Nice part with a septum Boogle, is that you can flip it up for work so no one can see it. That's what I do. As for the nose ring, if you just put in a small stud, almost any employer will usually accept it. So let's go for it!! :-)

ugh! i miss my nose ring so much! I had to take it out for my job, however i think my boss is becoming more relaxed when it comes to facial piercings because there is a new girl with her septum done.

I love piercings XD I think my favorite though is just the classic nose ring not so much the studs. Yep totally addictive :)
