if you have a disability in your arm, that deprives it from its ability to move and on top of that this disability is contagious, then you have yourselves a disease.
in the same way, if you have a disability in your brain that makes you see and and feel things that are not there, that deprive your brain of its ability to understand and see reality for what it really is, and on top of that this disability is contagious, then you have a mental disease.
and that, ladies and gentlemen, is all there is to it.
