Introductions/How's your scene/Favorite Queercore Band

Hey,

I was trying to start up my own queer punks group at http://queerpunks.ning.com/ - but it seems like there is a small cluster of you here! How about an introduction? I'm Jess. I'm 25 and an artist. One of the very few queer punks in NYC. There just aren't many of us anywhere. I am working on a zine - it should be done in two weeks. My favorite Queercore band is Team Dresch. I am obsessed with punk fashion, vegetarian food, and music. The NYC punk scene is alright. It's as good as it is going to get anywhere. There's just not much community anywhere in this day and age. It's really weird. I try to avoid the hardcore scene though since it's homophobic. I am afraid I'll get my ass kicked for hitting on a girl at a show. I am a crasshole so I try to avoid violence due to being for anarchy and peace. I guess I am writing here since it would be cool to have some more queer punk buddies. Feel free to leave me a comment or something so we can chat. Now, enough about me.
