Try not to buy into labeling yourself 1/2, 1/4, 1/16th or being indian or full blooded.

Either you are who you are or your not!

Look I'm mohawk. I live and breath as a mohawk, the hair cut doesnt make me more mohawk. I live on a mohawk Rez, I work for my mohawk people.

Each one of us should just be who we are; apache, cherokee, white, spanish or irish or a mutt. If you buy into the label a a percentage or a part of something, your buying into a system that believes you are less than you are. The creator made each of us unique and special, embrace that and empower yourself with that. And don't knock someone for trying to find out who they are, we have enough Governmt asses(Can & US) dividing us as is!

@ Skuzz: y'know I'm not real sure because my grandparents living in the dirty South always tried to cover it up to avoid discrimination so they raised my dad and uncles with as little knowledge of their heritage as possible :( rather unfortunate. All I know for sure is that they were from West Texas

plus the cherokee are pretty freaking prevalent here in the south, seeing as how they began in the carolinas and a few other states further east, then were forced down the trail of tears to oklahoma. They've been spread across the country, it shouldn't be a surprise or a bad thing that most people you meet in the south who claim native heritage are cherokee. Shit, my principle at my old high school was full blooded cherokee, I was in band and spanish and a bunch of other classes with his daughter! lol. Oh and No Holes Barred, your last comment is really confusing...how do the part about slaughter and then the part about I LOVE WHITE PEOPLE relate to eachother? just trying to understand.

And thanx 4 the history lesson. But the past is the past, nothing to rage about a 100 year's later. And my earlier comment was just my opinion on the matter to your comment to Cowboy Killer, not an attack. So just chill out. I wasn't calling u a fascist either, just trying to make a point that u don't have to belittle people just because they're proud of what little native american heritage that they got.

Whats so a fuckin noying is that the whites went out of their way to slaughter everyone in the west, for their 'new world' that my people had known about for thousands of years. I have said the phrase "I LOVE WHITE PEOPLE'' many times without sarcasm (they throw out good stuff) I am not a fucking fascist.

And they ALWAYS say Cherokee. Never Choctaw, Crow, Cree, Pawamunkee, Zuni, Iriquois, Huron (the inventors of the Scalplock 'mohawk').... Hell the girl who gave me my first kiss was white as hell and said she was one 30th Cherokee.

Anyone else got fucking problems...

And as for Asleeps ¡ɳ some Bl**dϟ it dosen't matter if he's just 1/16 cherokee, he's an Indian. Like I tell all other native americans when they make comments about "white indians" or many of the different types of mutts out there." I say hey when all the full-blooded indians are finally gone, they'll be the ones to carry the last of our gene, our history, our story." So don't be a hater to those curious and proud of their native american blood line. But that's just my opinion.
