Hair for Oil Spills and Clean-up

Cutting your mohawk? Left over sides?

Your leftover mohawk sides can be used to clean-up oil spills like the one in the Gulf of Mexico right now.   Hair naturally soaks up oils, this is why we shampoo it when it gets oily.

It doesn't even have to be long hair to donate.

Creating hair mats and bundling hair into old used nylons works nicely for filtering oil out of our drainage systems, rivers, lakes and the ocean.
