i love my mowie. sometimes get a few comments of "she must be a shit mum cos look at her hair and tattoos!" when im walking with my daughter. but i really couldnt give a shit. i know im a good mum, with or without a mowhawk and ink. Just wish people wouldnt be so judgemental.

I'm a girl with a hawk. I love it more than any other hairstyle I've ever had. I wanted one for years but I always just thought it was a guy's hairstyle and one day I just said fuck that shit I'm getting one :)

It's still seen by many as a masculine thing. When I first shaved the sides off my best friend's reaction was "Oh my god you've cut yourself a boy's mohawk, you fool! You're gonna get he'd so much now!" This from a guy who was rocking his own mohican at the time...

Yes, it is quite a liberating feeling as a woman to do something like this. Even though more women are coming out of their shells and getting mohawks and shaved heads, we still are a rare breed.
