Getting duct tape to stay in place

Ok so I got this badass zebra duct tape and I put it on my boots. Problem is, it won't stay securely on. Is there anything I could possibly put over the duct tape to keep it on my boots? Whatever it is needs to be clear and semi-flexible, seeing as the shape of my boots alters as my feet move.

you should iron over it, because heat is what causes tape to stick anyways.
