any help for a guy who is new to it

heya what is the best sort of paint to use to paint A) an entire sleeve and B) the bits around the pockets
also is there a easy way to get the spikes through the leather as the way i have been doing it is a bit tireing on the arms lol any help will be greatly apreciated as i say the jacket is leather
